A stat I just saw but can't link.

Our red zone offense is 2nd best in the league at home and 2nd worst on the road.

There's no rational reason why this should be the case. Communication in a hostile environment only goes so far.

Wonder what the home/road splits are in regards to our 3rd down offense?

It is certainly disappointing when a team can move up and down the field, yet has trouble in the final 20, 10, 5 yards. It makes no sense. And please don't mention the reduction in real estate as other teams have no problems

Who have we played at home this season......anyone hears the dogs barking????

Part of it is the difference in level of competition.
Our home opponents average 5.7 wins. By Football Outsiders' metrics, they average around 21st in defense.
Our road opponents average 7.9 wins. They average around 14th in defense.

I think there's more to it, but I don't know what it is.

makes total sense if you see most play better at home so when you are on the road , that home team is on the positive end of that statistic?

hate to simplify it but thats the truth outside of level of competitions etc.

It's not all that uncommon.

New England ranks 6th at home and 29th on the road.

Green Bay is 10th at home and 22nd on the road.
We like to look at things in a vacuum here but in reality it’s best to compare these things to the top teams in the league to see where we stand.
