Our Run D

The run defense has done a great job of containing RBs. The likes of LT, Portis, Westbrook, and Barber. Both of Seattle's starting WRs are out. We can play single coverage with our CBs we can put 8 in the box.
Dallas will reap the benefit of a starting S out. Seattle will be in the game for awhile because they are at home.

I think your on to something. I like the looks of our young D, run and pass, though we get shaky at the 4 minutes to go mark in pass D. But the run D has been solid. Other then LT, who SD pretty much took out of the game themselves, we have taken their runners and said NO.

I look for more of the same this week, and we are so young, we are only gunna get better. Thats a scary thought right there.

I truely believe our D will shut them down. The Hawks are No. 1 on offense right now, I believe our is looking for ward to the challange of stopping them. I see us overpowering their offense with our Dline while our CB's lock them up in man coverage. Even with the No.1 O, I see us handling them alot like we did Philly.

Yeah but Jurevicious can still hurt us, he's as good a #3 wr as there is in the league.

I do think our run defense steps it up against the good backs. The ones that we did the worst against were Barlow and Jordan, the two worst running backs we've faced.

Jurevicious is a big slow guy, he's decent but Newman and Henry can check him one on one without any problems. I don't see him hurting us. he'll have a few catches but thats about it. Roy will be in the box to help contain Alexander. Our D is really good and its getting better and better with each game played...

Ah yes, but we didn't contain Westbrook or Barber, did we? They just never got the ball. Tiki would have easily eclipsed the 100 yard-mark if the Gints didn't feel like Eli had to throw all game, and the same goes for Westbrook. The Eagles and Giants shut down their own running backs for us. That won't happen in Seattle.

Exactly, our secondary is ten times better then the Rams. We have speed and size in our secondary. I don't see their WR's getting off the LOS in time to get open. Our Dline or Roy blitzing will be on their AZZ in a heartbeat. Hassleback is in for a long day. I see him throwing alot of short dumpoff passes that we will attack with our speed. We just have to make the tackle at first contact.

I feel our run defense is shaky.

We've done a decent job of stopping guys like Tomlinson and Portis. But we allowed big yardage to the 49ers and Raiders.

The Giants ran well against us when they ran....I believe they were right around 4 yards a carry.

Not many teams have been committed to the run against us. I feel we're very vulnerable here.

Tiki Barber - 14 carries - 64 yards - 4.6 YPC
Brian Westbrook - 6 carries - 12 yards - 2.0 YPC

Given, the Westbrook stats look a little skewed, but seriously, do you think if the Eagles had actually committed to the run we would have "shut him down?" The dude got SIX carries. And don't even talk to me about Tiki. 4.6 YPC is what I'd call ripping it up on the ground. If he had gotten 20+ carries like he should have, he would have easily been over 100 yards. We didn't stop him at all.

All I was saying is that rain or shine, Holmgren is going to run the ball at least 25 times. If that had happened in the last 2 weeks, I don't feel confident enough that we'd be able to stop them.

Dude there is alot of if's in your point. If my aunt had NUTZ, she'd be my uncle.. We could go on if's all day. Tiki had a good YPC avg. but they weren't damaging at all.

The hawks will try to get the ball to their TE early and often. I am sure they took note of what Shockey did at the end of the game last week. Also they will run short little slant routes aganist us. I read where Hasselbeck never takes a 7 step drop evrything is short.
