Our run game

While I think that JG is doing good job with the offense this year I can't help but think that he's trying to be a little too cute with the run game. Whats wrong with lining up running the dive or off tackle? We have beefers on the line but we don't play to their strengths. We're constantly in shotgun running that draw play like we are afraid to line up and punch teams in the mouth.

I want to be clear that we did NOT lose the game today because of the offense at all but I want a smash mouth running attack that defenses respect and sets up playaction. Is that too much to ask?

power running, why do that? we have that awesome wildcat play where Choice runs left with Bigg pulling(you know the same play everytime we run the wildcat). why use power running plays when we can run ***** finesse running plays like shotgun draws and tosses to our slowest running back?

But hey, running the ball is as antiquated and irrelevant as the buggy whip. I know because I read it here.

like I said, I like how the offense is performing and I think it would be a mistake to totally switch it up but I think we could mix in some more power.

I think part of the problem is personnel.Gurode is a power guy but he has been dinged up.Davis is a power guy as long as he maintains his pad level.Kosier is a guy that relies on technique and really can't get good push.Free is not that strong at the point of attack.Flo is not all that strong at the point of attack at this stage of his career either.

The other part of the problem is consistent execution,one play it all comes together.And then for the next play the line forgets an assignment or they pretend their a Mexican bull fighter.

Play calling has been an issue at times as well.

Penalties have put them in a position that dictates passing the ball.

Our running game was just getting stuffed today, not only barber but choice and felix didnt get much either
