Our running backs last night

Zeke 10 carries for 52 yards. We were running it on them, but Moore abandoned the run for some reason.

Also, how many 3rd downs did Pollard get run over on the way to a QB pressure or sack? Pollard is a liability protecting the QB, whereas Zeke has always been an asset.

Poor coaching.
I said in a thread earlier watching the Rams game that it reminded me of Dallas. The Rams were only down by 7 and completely abandoned the run game which in turn ruined their chances of competing. I'm way off the train on Moore. He flashes at times with a good game plan, but usually against weaker teams. He is part of that loss, if not a big part. Should have been Pollard and Turpin on screens and sweeps, Zeke pounding it, and more movement from the receivers to keep the defense guessing. They went out there like they had the best line in the NFL against a very staunch defense. I just don't get the gameplan. It was stupid from the go.

Penalties added to the low run totals as well. You can consistently call runs when you have Penalties, especially pre snap.

Part of this is that you can't run every play and once dak threw an incompletion they felt they needed to throw again to make up for it. add in the penalties and you kinda have to throw on those downs if you actually want a 1st down. CD going 2 of 11 killed the offense. The only one worth a dam was schultz.

Schultz had his bad moments too.

He flubbed more than his fair share of blocks.

Which makes it a little sad that they could not protect. Even more so that either KM or the WRs could not figure out that you beat zone by finding the gap in the zone and getting to them. Instead they ran routes like they were playing man coverage.

MM and KM had all offseason to adjust to how teams were killing their offense.

Nothing changed.

Penalties were putting us behind the chains which contributed to us abandoning the run. Plus we needed to create some plays down the field because you can’t keep Tom Brady from throwing a TD all night. Running the ball all day is just going to keep our score down. We need to generate some points and you do that in the passing game but unfortunately we don’t have the receivers. We don’t have the talent to overcome a 2 score deficit and once we get down by two scores we have to start throwing the football. Penalties keep cropping up which continue to put us behind the chains. Hard to run the ball in long down situations.

The OL was better than expected from my perspective last night. The Bucs have been a team very difficult to run on and Zeke was gashing them for solid gains most of his touches. Moore should have been fired for that pathetic play calling. I hope McCarthy is taking over play calling duties.

Pollard is not anywhere near the talent of a healthy Zeke.

Maybe the coaches were reading this board and heard that Pollard was the better RB.

Zeke is terrible. He is one of the least threatening players in the entire NFL now. Slow looks for contact and goes down easy. I can barely watch him play.
He was playing hard last night. He's one of the last things I'm going to complain about from that game.

when your qb can’t hit the side of a barn, tough to have good balance. Teams focus on run.

maybe it was me but Dak looks like he lost velocity on his throws. Many of his passes appeared to sort float to a spot.

He is the better runner for sure. Need to find a way to leverage their strengths.
He's quicker and shiftier. Other than that, Zeke is the better RB. He blocks much better, runs with more power, and gets tougher yards. He was killing it last night when he got the ball.
