Given our record and at best third (or 4th) place in the division, who will we play next year? Be nice to have a few cream puffs instead of this monster's row we faced this year.

I dont know if anyone knows what the exact schedule will be now. I guess it depends on if they get a new CBA done, and if so does an 18 game schedule start in 2011 or 2012.

Assuming nothing changed, we are scheduled to play the AFC East (home vs Buffalo and Miami, away vs New England and NYJ). We're also scheduled to play the NFC West (at SF and Seattle, home vs St Louis and Arizona). We'd then play the 3rd place teams in the NFC North (Minnesota) and the NFC South (Tampa). One would be home, the other away.

Miami or Buffalo would be the Thanksgiving Game.

The websites I'm looking at still have us as 4th in the division. If we end up tied with the Skins, are we 3rd or 4th?

I havent looked into it enough in regards to a tie.

But I assumed we'd finish 3rd, because I think we're going to beat Arizona at the least to finish 6-10, and might even beat Philly to finish 7-9.

I dont see Washington winning either of their last two games (@ Jax, vs NYG) so they'll finish 5-11 and in last place.

So much about that schedule sucks. Not the list of teams, that's pretty decent.

Hate how the home and away breaks out and I do hope it somehow changes with a last minute shuffle in the final standings.

I want Buffalo and Miami on the road, in Sept and Dec.
I want the Jets and Pats at home. The Jets for Thanksgiving and the Pats the very next week on 10 days rest.
I want St Louis at home and Arizona on the road in Nov.
Not sure if I'd perfer SF or Sea at home.
I'll take Min at home and TB on the road in Dec.

Then give me the Giants and Eagles on the road sometime in Sept-Oct and at home in Dec.

It so critical to get the home and away go your way. If your good and I believe we will be, you want to play the best non division teams you'll face at home. Sucks wasting home games on Arizona or Miami.

Might as well make my ideal schedule:

at Buffalo
H Wash
at NYG
H SF
at Sea
H Min
at Was
H Stl
at Phi
BYE WEEK
at Arz
H NYJ Thanksgiving
H Pats
at Mia
H NYG
at TB
H Phi

As long as the Cowboys play @ SF it's all good!

Don't you mean as long as the Cowboys play at Lucas Oil It's all good? :D

i agree. traveling to NE and NYJ while having buf and mia at home sucks. i'd also rather play in SF than Sea (who is usually much better at home than as a road team).

IMO worst case would be
@tb in sept
@sea in nov or dec where it can get cold and rainy
any 2+ combo of @nyj, @nyg, @ne, @phi, @wsh in dec

I'd rather play Tampa Bay. IN order to play Carolina it would mean we finish dead last in the NFC East. I want to finish ahead of the Commanders. We've only finished dead last 4 times in 51 years. I do not want a 5th time.

That is an amazing stat. I wonder how many times the other teams have finished in dead last. Also, I'll be shocked if we don't play Miami on Thanksgiving. But I'd rather see Buffalo considering what Miami does to us on Thanksgiving in recent history.:(

Washington has finished last 4 times in the Snyder era alone.

I do have the totals for each team posted somewhere.

New England on Thanksgiving would be a good game

We play New England and the Jets on the road. So they have no shot at being our Thanksgiving game. It will be either Buffalo or Miami.
