It's time to find a new DC. This just doesnt work. I'd stay in a 4-3, but we can't keep this scheme. WE
    re trapped in mediocrity.

Richard is the new DC basically and it's worse than last year. Last years defense at least got pressure and covered well. This years defense is bad at both and the LBs can't tackle anymore.

Pete Carrol made Richards look good for years, apparently.

It's not Richard. This is Maranellis defense. Remember how Garrett made Linehan the OC but Linehan had to use Garrett's playbook. It's kinda the same thing on defense now.

scheme is fine team is just mentally weak and too much
    reliance on injury prone players.

combination of scheme and players not performing up to par. D. Lawrence is tied for 5th, for most times double teamed in the league. Robert Quinn is benefiting from that. The middle of the d-line.... thats where it starts and finishes. Those guys are not getting it done. Not enough consistent pressure is also playing a huge part in the lack of turnovers. This is the same song and dance for this team the last 7 or 8 years it seems.

For the money that DLaw insisted on he should be beating doubles a lot more often.

I watched a little of Garrett's press conference yesterday. It's amazing what comes out of his mouth. There was a question regarding schemes. Garrett said something to the fact that he would rather not discuss what the team does schematically. Maybe because opposing teams already know what schemes we run. Maybe Garrett is normal and us fans are crazy. LOL

I think it’s our teamwork that’s holding us back.
