Not sure if I agree with that take. Because I don't know if the Iggles win the Super Bowl had they not gotten Zack Baun. He went from essentially being a special teams guy in N'awlins to being a 'you have to account for him on every play' guy in Philly. Fangio wanted him, and saw a role for him he had not previously played. I'd think that Parker would want something similar from at least one of his LB's.
Yes, but thats what i meant.
Baun wasnt a good player in NO. He made like 14 starts in his 4 years and his combined tackles during that time were lower than his solo tackles in his lone season in Philadelphia.
That he excelled in Philly may be the result (maybe because i didnt follow him much) of using him to his abilities and that his duties were easier (less) than in NO. I think we wont need a guy lick Ronaldo McClain in the middle. A highly talented and also physical build player to spot the position (Baun is like 208 Lbs, McCalin was around 250). What we have in the players actually on the roster i think is good enough to be successfull. And they have the abilities to spot the position: lighter, able to cover and fast enough to run from sideline to sideline.
Overshown is Baun fast - as is Winters. They are a bit heavier but compareable. I think those will be our primary guys. Lets see if Overshown gets over his injury (head wise). It didnt look like that at the end of last season. Liufau i really dont know. I had high hopes for this guy. But he seems too slow for the position and somehow he doesnt get it.
