Our season probably hinges on these areas

-Left tackle is the top concern, no doubt.

-Not worried about LB unless there’s a ton of injuries, and from what I understand, they will be using only two in most sets.

-Overall, I’m a bit concerned that they may have gotten a bit complacent on offense while trying to fix such an awful defense. This offense was far from perfect and if Guyton hasn’t improved, he is capable of bringing the entire thing down.

They need another playmaker somewhere. That could easily be Blue, or maybe Trigg emerges, or Turpins role could expand (not recommended lol) but I do think they need someone else to step up and be a threat beyond CD and GP.
Flournoy is the most likely to become the third threat. He showed great improvement and rapport with Dak.

If the defense shows enough improvement to keep the score manageable and gets off the field more on third down, and the running game stays at least on par with last season, mediocrity at OT can be somewhat managed with scheme and QB.

My biggest worries are at LB and corner.

Coaching is a big question mark. BS is going to have to adjust to defenses adjusting to his scheme and Parker is a complete unknown.

This season could really go either way as far as I see it.

It’s a given that if Prescott goes down it’s all over. 2020 and 2024 are perfect examples.

I never understood having Milton as a two when you’re claiming you want to win.
You just described most of the teams in this league.

Of course it's a weak spot and it's a concern to point out the fact is they started top five offense in the league last year even with those weaknesses I'm not concerned about it because I believe they'll correct it a little bit more this year Everything to me shifts to the defense again how could it not I am not worried because we already had a successful campaign with the same two tackles with another year with Adams trying to correct Guyton get a little bit more out of steele in the passing game..

I do agree that it's a concern but not something I'm pointing to whether we have a good season or not because the offense clicked regardless of that weakness they just use the strengths and they did play calling to avoid some of that area..

Come back to defense when you have a historically bad defense for the third time since 2016 and you've got rid of like 50% of your defensive roster and you have a bunch of new players defensive coaches and new DC for the first time yes that's a concern that's the only concern we need to have an average defense We need to get this defense from #32 up to the 20s to start and hopefully end up mid if they can get a mid range defense with that offense that's what it all hinges on.

Brian Schottenheimer's campaign last year was shot down because of the defense and a little bit of the special team but I believe the defensive injuries then the constant needing bodies over there it affected the special teams..

It’s gonna come down to Dak IMO. The QB position.

Sounds like a given answer but I don’t expect anything from young players or rookies. Downs is a given. But I think Steele and Guyton are what they are. In order for this team to go where it needs to go Dak has to make up for any issues we have. Dak has to be able to deal with having Steele and Guyton. It’s what he has.

The defense….i think they will be better. I’m
Thinking fringe top 20 defense. First time coordinator and these core guys 3rd DC in just as many years…for some guys it’s their 4th….if he can get them top 20 that’s a miracle based on what I saw last year.

I’d love for Dak to be able to manage and a run an offense where he is driving the bus but that’s not what’s presented to us.
It comes down to him staying healthy but outside of that it doesn't cause no matter how how good he played last year it didn't matter 'cause the defense was horrible The defense needs to be a lot better this year for this team to have any success at all writing.

It all hinges on the defense and yes Prescott staying healthy not how well he plays or not avoiding bad tackles or people not performing around him typically when he's healthy and finishes the season he does his part regardless of people feel about the record he he cannot have done much more last year that's asking for him to be perfect..

And I'll say it again it all really hinges on two things The defense improving from 32 to 20 early in the season and then by the end of the year them playing at least in around average ,

And Prescott being upright waiting for that to happen... In 2024 it didn't happen it started out horrible nobody was blocking tackling getting open His numbers were bad to start the year because of how bad everything looked and then he gets injured and the defense was pretty bad too...

So that's exactly what we don't want to happen we don't need another 2024 where everybody's struggling to begin with prescott doesn't remain on the field until they try to workout the other problems.. Last year he did stay on the field and he had great season in my opinion but the defense and special teams destroyed all the good things that he could have done and now we're back with the risk factor can he remain healthy while waiting on the rest of it to come together...hmm
