How would you compare this secondary to the years of old? Man, what a team we have! We just went to the meadow lands and put a sock in Marty B's mouth.

I like what I am seeing out of the secondary. Guys are playing the ball. Even Scandrick in his suckiness played the ball better than I have seen in the past. Can't wait for Jenkins to get back.

Three sacks for this team, some consistent pressure for most of the game, and really good coverage for the majority of the game.

The secondary definately did their part, for the most part, tonight. I'm pleased.

But it wasn't perfect by any means. Lets not forget that the Giants helped them out a bit with some stupid dropped passes.

I'll take it but I'm figuring they'll improve even more beyond this.

Church is a stud. He played well for his first NFL game. Claiborne and Carr make us a totally different defense. Woot! Man, just what I was hoping for.

So much attitude. Guys playing like the ball is theirs.

I know Scandrick gets much maligned, but he stuck to one of the best receivers in the NFL all night. Cruz didn't have that many targets, and I don't recall any targets down the field.

Claiborne's tackling in the run game could improve, but I thought he did a good job tackling Nicks.

Carr was full on beast mode.

Hey McCoy, we agree on something! Starting to set my expectations for this season and little higher.

Carr is going to make a lot of plays and give up a few. I like that because more times than not, he was in the WRs hip pocket.

Claiborne did well considering he was going up against one of the best QB-WRs combos he'll see all year.

Yeah, I made a thread earlier about the current secondary. Sadly, it didn't get nearly as much attention as the Newman thread. But it probably will in the future. Our secondary is the strongest unit on the team--built just for the Giants.

I want Scandrick to stop holding and trust his teammates. He has help this year

Carr was right...there was noooo dancing:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Ware said it. These guys make the QB hold on to the ball just a little bit longer, giving our D-line the ability to make plays.

You could say that our secondary has risen to the occasion wearing the star. Hard to say the secondary doesn't matter.

I haven't looked at the plays again, but in real time, two of those sacks looked like coverage sacks...Ware's second one, and Hatchers.

Scandick got lucky most plays but everybody else was solid...

Can Jenkins in the slot be any worse?

I know Jenkins has never done it but Scandrick either holds or simply face-guards. He was very lucky on several plays tonight.
