Our STs could be fabulous

If the pieces fall in order . . . .

Punter - Our Aussie is one of the best in the league.

Kicker - Folk has been Mr. Clutch with FGs, and it seems that his kickoffs have improved.

Punt Returner - Pac is a real weapon. He's the best we've had since Deion Sanders.

Kick Returner - Well, if Wade wanted to use Felix Jones, it could be lethal. Maybe Wade will every once in awhile. But even Austin, when he returns, is not too bad. But clearly F Jones could give us another dimension here.

Punt Returns and KO return coverage - With Killer back, we should make some strides here. I thought we improved a notch vs. Minn as well. I think we should be better in this department all in all with Rogers and Carp continuing to improve, along with Pit Bull-Cricket.


It may take a few weeks for all of this to come together, but when it does, we could really have a very special STs unit.

I was just assuming it was a done deal. I haven't seen any contract details.

I thought they were trying to work a couple of other roster moves before offically signing Davis.

The thing is our coverage units were an issue even when we did have Davis in there. He may help things, but I don't think he's the missing link that makes them good.

One reason was trying a lot of directional kicking last season.

Folk would kick to a side and try for more hang time versus going straight ahead and trying for better depth.

We should see less of that this season.

I'm hoping our STs can turn it around on the coverage units and then I'll be able to breath fairly easily during games.
