No surprise.
Another free agency and of course Cowboys do not make a move on the 1st day.
That is bad, but at this point, what is worse is to overpay now for questionable players.

We all want better WRs and S, but the positions of the greatest need are LB and swing tackle.
But are there any decent FAs left???
1. Swing tackle - Even with a full season of Zeke, Dak needs a decent swing tackle given Tsmith's recent availability. But is there apparently no decent FA left? I personally would use a 1st round or 2nd round pick here.
2. LB - This could become a disaster. Hitchens is gone and they are moving Jaylon to SLB. Of course, there is Lee's annual injury. This is one place where a decent FA would help. I would use a 1st round or 2nd round pick here due to Lee's poor availability.
3. Safety - The main safeties are returning so they could always go back to that even if they say Jones is moving to CB. Some mentioned Vaccaro but he was rated as the worst safety in pass defense last year - is that right? Then there is the honey badger, but the money is better spent on a decent MLB FA. With all the DB last draft, just cannot see more draft resources here.
4. WR - The top WRs are gone, so dont see any FA improvement. The question is whether they will spend top draft resources here with the needs at LB, S and OT. With Zeke back for the full season, the biggest weakness is at OT, not WR.
5. DL - Money was spent on the franchise tag, and Irving has a 2nd round tender. If Taco continues to improve, suspect the DL will improve. Just dont believe a high pick will be spent on DT unless Irving is signed away. If Irving is gone, then a 2nd round pick can be used on a DT.
6. G - Prefer they just resign Cooper with the possible mess at LB and OT.
Some say Pugh for guard but he is always injured, so I would rather stay with Cooper if we can resign him.
7. RB - a full season of Zeke would provide a big improvement. They will probably draft a RB mid/late rounds.

I didn’t read ur post, way too long. But if it has anything to do with hot chicks and beer, I agree...

Yeah swing tackle is an issue. I wouldn't be opposed to taking an OT early, even in the first round (depending on the prognosis on Tyron's back). Although we could take an OT in the first 4 rounds and maybe be ok IF Tyron is healthy.

Linebacker is a head scratcher. You can get linebackers that can play decent (not exceptional) in any round. You won't find an OT in the later rounds as a general rule.

Hasn't changed folks. LB's and speed on offense.

I just dont trust tsmith's back.
I think a 1st or 2nd round pick would be good use for lb and ot.

Depending on who was picked, I would like to see:

1. OT/LB
2. LB/OT
3. WR/RB
4. RB/WR
5-7 - BPA for G, RB and 1tech.

Swing tackle and left guard since we don’t have either
We at least have decent players at most other positions though we may need better but decent is better than none
Please don’t say we have Chaz because rowdy may beat him out in camp

I agree with most of rhis list

Still....I'm pulling for Dak, but do you really think he's better at QB than Zeke is at RB?

I worry about OT if tsmith goes down again.
With Lee health and Hitchens gone, we are really exposed at LB.

Our long snapper #91 is a free agent today & #5 wasn't exactly pro caliber coming back late in the season from injury, that could devastate what's lately been wholly taken for granted, having 'belly flopped' into the discussion with that grey hair inducing aspect, PUTTY!
I'll simply say Linebacker is our immediate postion in dire need of bulking up, then it would probably be the Quarterback / reciever corps postion o_O

LB we agree on.
I think QB WR play improves with LT performance.
Our LS is a FA???
