Miles Austin had some cobwebs after his injury (two drops although one was basically forced), but I'm sure he'll get back on track. When he's on, he's unstoppable. We need that element back in our offense.

Dez supposedly disappears late in games, but I'm not sure Romo even looks his way or if the plays even call for him to. I've heard all the talk about him not knowing the playbook and not running good routes, blah, blah, blah. But, we have to give Dez a chance to do what he does. All I know is when we go to him, it usually ends up with good results.

Laurent Robinson takes advantage of every opportunity he's given. It's a shame that PI in the end zone was offset by holding.

Kevin Ogletree wasn't called on much, but props to him for making that great catch although he knew he was about to be clobbered. He held on too.

Back to my point: We have incredible talent at the WR position, so there is no excuse for the scoring deficiencies we are experiencing right now. I know better running would help, but the O-line is better at pass blocking anyway, so let's start playing to our strengths. Put the ball where only Dez can get it and he will get it. Miles gets the dropsies from time to time, but I can live with that if he continues to make phenomenal plays like he does. Robinson and Ogletree are both assets, even though I know some people are down on O-Tree.

When we get into the red zone, have Romo roll out and put our talented receivers to use. There's really no excuse.

If Dez is not where he should be then Romo has no time to find him because of this o-line. All about running precise routes and timing...that is the NFL. You acting like Romo has 10 seconds to locate Dez on the field.

I like our WR's as a group. I think we have a great 1 and 2. I just need to see this team get the #2 involved more in the second half of games.

I have serious doubts about Romo's ability to check in and out of plays. It seems like most of the time when he kills a play or audibles it is a lost down. How can they come into the game not wanting to take a shot or two at Dez if he drew Bodden and McCourty in single coverage in the red zone? It is a total size and athletic mismatch, one that every other team in the NFL would attack as would every other good QB in the league.

I think we have a great group of WR's. What I don't understand is when we have a first and goal at the 10 we run three plays without even looking Dezs' way. Very frustrating. Even Aikman called him a beast yesterday.

I was surprised to hear Aikman say that. Not that Dez isn't a beast, but that Troy would use that word to describe a player. :laugh2:

My point is, he should at least look his way. Dez is too talented to ignore.

The Pats doubled Dez a lot in the 2nd half yesterday, that says a lot when you're a 2nd year player and they do that, specially with Miles lined up on the other side

Not really. Romo tried to go to him early, and it got intercepted. There have plenty of other times where Romo or Kitna have tried getting him the ball, with not so good results. He is a great playmaker, no question. But no matter how talented a WR is, he has to run where he's supposed to. You can't just let a guy go freelancing out there, throw the ball up and hope he comes down with it. Perhaps on and endzone fade, but not the rest of the time. Dez right now is a very poor route runner. You can't just shrug that off.

Was that Dez's fault? Romo LITERALLY dropped his head and let the ball loose. Not the best way to complete a pass.

Miles Austin will not have a game like that again more than likely... Clearly he was getting used to game speed again.

He had pressure in his face and threw the ball to where his WR supposed to be. Too often, Dez isn't where he's supposed to be. We had the same problem with TO (as did a lot of other QB's). I'm not trying to say Romo>Dez, or vice versa. And I'm not saying Dez isn't good. He's very good, sometimes phenomenal. But there are basic things he doesn't do well.

He also said that he took an unnecessary level of punishment fighting defenders after his forward progress was stopped. Troy seemed really amused at Dez's determination and obvious strength.

Yup carbon copy of the 3rd int in the Lion's game -

I'm hoping to see a better game out of the WRs. The lack of production in the game yesterday was a surprise to me because I was reading the the Pats had one of the worst pass defenses.

Great catch by Kevin!

A few great catches by Dez! When he got up after one of them, his pants were kind of low and you could see his crack! :laugh2: He needs to tighten the waistband on his football pants. I keep reading over and over that Dez doesn't know the playbook. If this is true, why is that?

Miles must be rusty? I was surprised at his 2 drops yesterday.

Laurent looks like a dependable receiver too.

I hope they can bring it all together. I just want them to win!

:laugh2:Laurent's pants actually slid down below his hips in the Detroit game. What's up with our receivers and the low pants?

I'm surprised at all the surprise about Miles's drops. It's part of the package with him. I mean, yeah, he had more than usual yesterday, but he's always been good for a drop a game or so.

I'm looking for big things from Dez...next season. He's going to need a real offseason with the coaches pounding him on all the details before he explodes.

Very excited about Robinson.
