In my eyes, it's Tyron. I'm the first to preach its more important how an offensive line operates as a whole, opposed to who you have in that whole, that being said, you can still afford to look at the cogs in the machine.

In a way, this attests to how well the line is playing, Tyron isn't necessarily a guy that concerns me, but relative to the play of Fred,Leary, Waters (not counting Mack) and Free, he's impressed me the least.

This is almost as good as the Alex Smith is better than Tony Romo post.

Smith has struggled at times but he is asked to go one on one more so then anyone else on the line. The interior of the line plays as a unit and Free gets a lot of help from TE, F, and H-backs split to his side.

Would you rather have Doug Free try doing what Smith is doing?

Does this guy realize that this guy just went against JPP, Tamba and Quinn is subsequent weeks? Those guys are all top 8 rushers in the league.

I agree. Leary, Arkin, Costa, Bernadeau, Parnell. Weems are all better than Smith. No doubt Smith is our worst OL. Worst in the league. On Earth. The Solar System. Outside the Solar System.

Yeah, and there was a good article after the Giants game that pointed out that the coaches decided to let Smith be on an island against JPP. That's a big advantage for the rest of the o-line, to have the other teams best pass rusher handled by one man, you can slide help anywhere else along the line. I haven't gone back and watched tape yet this year and don't remember if they consistently had Smith doing the same thing the past two games, but I'm suspecting they've continued giving him no help. Can't even come close to agreeing with the OP on this one.

Just to be clear, JPP hasn't been really healthy... Coming off a back surgery and no practice... I don't think one can consider him top 8 at that time...
