Just remembered....it was Cam Newton. Has he eaten any crow over that? I think Cam has been pretty good.

hard for me to critique a draft with guys from northern iowa and william and mary in the first 3 rounds.
maybe those guys are great but wow who knows considering the comp they played.

jalen collins is a legit CB target in r1 but doubt he is probbaly my 3rd or 4th CB of choice.

bryce petty i can speak to and that is not a good 4th round pick.
he is a one read quick release guy.
he compares to a lot of other guys who went round 6-7 and lasted 3-4 years as a back up.

Cam has been pretty good but there have been enough issues with leadership and accuracy that no scout would get skewered over downgrading him IMHO.

I just like these guys to have honest takes and give us reasons.

You can't predict much of what matters so it is still just educated guesses.
There are guys every fan int he country is salivating over that gets injured and busts out.
And there are no name guys from scrub city community college that end up in multiple pro bowls.

I think I'd hate that draft, but by their big board its not a terrible one. Collins they're a lot higher on then most of the boards I've seen. I'm really not sure about David Johnson in round 2, feels like a round early for him.

I wonder if he is a bit under rated. Just not sure. Small school with little production in the pros from FCS in 15 years. Big enough and his numbers are very good: 4.50 40, 41.5 vertical and 10-7 broad jump. He runs a bit like Murray but without his football speed and explosiveness at least consistently. His one cuts aren't impressive. Follows his blockers well, catches great, blocks ok, and cut backs are decent. Slips thru traffic ok but not a lot of missem'. Not quick. Not a great runner between the tackles but can get skinny. At times in an admittedly smallish sample he looked good and average at times. Smallish sample though.

He's interesting. 4th round would be good and 3rd ok. Not sure about 2 though.

For Dallas it doesn't make sense to take a RB in the first two days of the draft though. JMO.
