1994: $34.6 million
1995: $37.1 million
1996: $40.7 million
1997: $41.4 million
1998: $52.3 million
1999: $58.3 million
2000: $62.1 million
2001: $67.4 million
2002: $71.1 million
2003: $75.0 million
2004: $80.5 million
2005: $85.5 million
2006: $102.0 million
2007: $109.0 million
2008: $116.0 million

Where we going with this? I won't be able to afford to take my family to a game before long. At this rate, the uncontrolled salary cap will ruin the sport in a few more years. I mean, the salary cap has doubled in the last 10 years?

Well you make a valid point BDC however until the NFL see's a drop in attendance they simply don't care. Yeah, they may play lip-service by saying, "Oh we want the game to be affordable for the average family."

But the fact is they don't give a **** about you or I... or Hos or CBZ or Brain or Alexander or Nors (which is easy to do. :)) or Junk or Woodysgirl or LaTuna or any of us.

This is a game that is controlled by the mega rich and played by the rich. As long as the stadiums stay full there will not be sincere concern shown by the owners that you and your family can not afford to attend games.

so if this continues by the year 2021 the salary cap wil be 300 million. if 14 years ago the salary cap was 34 million and now its 116.. its tripled in 14 years so in 14 years from now the salary cap will be 300 million... but by then cyborgs should have taken over...

Put yourself in the owner's shoes for one moment. Would you feel so sorry for the poor man that you would charge $50 for a ticket instead of $100? Yeah, I'm going to lose $3.2 million each home game because I feel sorry for those poor families. As an owner, it's simple supply and demand when the stadium gets sold out at those prices.
