Out of curiousity, why doesn't Sean Payton like us?

I was thinking about all the crap I heard the Saints players were saying on the radio. You know, saying they penciled in a "W" for the Cowboys game when the schedule came out because they knew the Coach wouldn't want to lose that game.

Only reason I can think of is the whole Keith Davis Saga (or Non-Saga) but that was under Bill Parcells and he isn't here any longer.

Also, if it is because he felt we should have kept him, he must know we were never going to give him the job over Bill Parcells and he left to become a Head Coach.

Heck, if I am not mistaken, Jerry Jones did him a favor and talked him out of taking the Raiders job because it probably wasn't the best career move.

He probably wanted Romo to come over to the Saints and we didn't let him. I don't know lol.

I don't know how much of it is a media construct. Sometimes it's just as simple as some reporter who needs an angle for his story asking a player "Did you want to win this game for your Coach?" and then the player just agrees.

I've seen that happen a lot over the years.

I have no idea. But Galloway and Mosley were saying the same things all week long. Mosley knows Gregg Williams a little from when he was at the Skins, and Galloway knows Payton a little from when he was here (and his old sidekick Brian Estridge got to be buddies with Payton somehow), so I don't think it was fabricated.

sean payton would be a good coach for us. I wish there was more talk abut him over other coaches. He even used to be a cowboy coach. So he has cowboy roots.
