They are planning on a regular season NFL game outside United States .
I think it is B.S.
It is just greed and we as fans only get 8 home games a year and to even take one of those away from us is B.S.
I do not know if I put this in a forum that I shouldn't have ,If I did put it in the wrong place , I appologize , but I had to vent.
Dose anyone else agree with me or Am I just over reacting?

No problem putting the thread here. During the "slow" season, we are a lot more lenient about such things.

It's the same as opening day baseball being played in Japan.

$$$

And just as we have seen in ALL sports, $$$ has taken away from the game.

I agree its done for money, but I really don't have an issue with it.

There are NFL and Cowboys fans all over the world. It might be a once in a lifetime opportunity for these guys and gals to experience them playing live.

I believe it is the Cardinals who will lose a home game for this. That alone pisses me off. It means that game will be televised instead of blacked out.

Oct. 2 vs. the 49ers in Mexico City.

i don't see how generating interest in the league from abroad is necessarily a bad thing.

nevermind the extra dollars that help ensure a healthier bottom line for my favorite sport. if little kids in foreign countries start playing organized american football - they could eventually grow into adults with legit skills.

i'd love to see an infusion of foreign talent affect the NFL the way it has MLB (the homerun derby at the All-Star Game was a freakshow of foreign talent) and the NBA.

i think it could be good for the game. and if it's good for the game - i'm all for it.

The main reason for me is it means another game for the Cardinals that is not blocked out. Very sad.

I like the idea of it. Someday, I would like to see another country put together a football team that could compete at an NFL level.

i gotcha Hos.

i spent a year-and-a-half in phoenix/tempe in the mid-80s. back when the only birds associated with arizona were snowbirds.

back then, the Dallas Cowboys owned that town. and there are some indications that they still do.

it's their "home-away-from-home". after every game there a Cowboys star, coach, or JJ should get on the PA and say "thank you Phoenix!" it's a hotbed of Cowboys love.

The Cowboys still own the town, but the Cardinals own the damn airwaves. I prefer it when they are home because no sellouts equals game blacked out. If they sellout or are on the road, guess which game we get? Not only that but we get the bottom of the barrell announcers out here. 9 road games instead of 8 sucks.

Actually the game is on Sunday night so it' won't come at the expense of other games.

I think your the greedy one. You have 8 games and they take one away and you whine like a stuck pig? Maybe they are catering to those foreign fans, trying to build up the sport so 20 years from now the next great one comes from that region. You can watch it on TV like the rest of us. I dont see anything wrong with this. But then I am not a selfish guy.

I do not go to many games. I live out of the Cowboys market , so I do not attend a game unless a team close by are playing the Cowboys or I get the tix given to me( My profession allows me to get tix to various sporting events)

What I am thinking about is my cousin who is a huge Steelers fan and has a 12 year old son. They have to write in for tix every year and hope they get a call saying they can purshase tickets . They have gotten a call only once the last 4 years.

How bout the Greenbay fans I am sure it is real easy for a parent and thier children to get seats up there.

I know Philly tix also very hard for a hard working family to obtain.

I know , I know there is always Ebay and ticket brokers , but a man or women that make 10 / 11 an hour (for Example) may have a hard time with thier prices.

I fully understand that it is only one game , one team losing a home game and it is the Card who always have seats available , but is this just the start and if so then as hard as it is for working class people to take their families to games can only get harder with less games available for them.

Yeah , wouldn't it be nice to share with others that don't get the chance to see a game live , but I say what about the people who support their teams every day who can not get tix and now people are on board to make this even more difficult.

All this just to sell more merchandise.
I think that the NFL dose not lack for support in their own regions ( as a Whole)
Put a winner or at least a team to compete and the fans will support you.
Maybe if they get enough fans worldwide they won't have to be competitive to make the all might dollar.
