The teams that overcome the here and now will be the teams who should come to the top tomorrow.

That is my theme today.

Can we do that?

By this what I mean is..

The landscape is changing daily with new directives from the NFL FO and more..

so much that teams including ours have to reorganize to be successful.

I heard it said that things like social distancing is going to remain long after the health issues fade.

How does the sport as we know it survive without contact?

And mods, please bare with me here..this thread is not about the pandemic. I have had it drilled into me not to comment on it. Understood.

But the issues are that Dallas has always been leaders of innovation. See invented the shotgun, the 4-3 defense, multiple offense formations, the Hail Mary, the Landry Hitch and Flex defense, the Bomb with Bobby Hayes, use of computers in player analysis, forced the creation of the Zone Defense to stop quick scoring, etc.

Is there anything we can create to get an edge on the competition to raise to the top when all is said and done.?

I would love to hear from the collective deep thinkers here on the site. And mods..Thanx for refereeing this place with so much posting going on.

Invent a higher pay to the officials over the Steelers, Packers, Patriots, as well as learn to cheat better than NE also. :lmao2:

J / K

I think for now I will settle for being less predictable. Have some plays that confuse the oppents at times, on both sides of the ball. Like better disguised blitzes, better screen passes set up. Which they have seemed to be getting better at.

Still majority of the time it really comes down to "beat your man" and if you or I should say all execute the plays and game plan better, then use those 6 plays that are usually the difference to be inventive. Of course the ball needs to bounce your way at times also.

Also by being inventive on defense, stop the stupid DL stunts every play. That too is predictable and takes time to develop. Just line up, stop the run, rush the passer straight on.

Knowledgeable and good thinking.

As ever.

Thanx and noted.

Out cheating the cheaters.

What a concept.

Good one.

Now that Brady has left for greener pastures..

Belicheet is all alone.

This will be interesting.

Maybe around mid-season we will hear this lonely wolf cry from the Northeast..

"Help me! For God's sake..somebody help me..I am lost"

Savey?

Watching MM go about his business has been a breath of fresh air. All the areas that he is addressing and the way that he is addressing them shows a guy on the surface that sees the obvious when it comes to roster building and what is important. How long have the Cowboys blown off the FG kicker? To see them target Zuerline and sing him is incredible. Along with the DT and safety positions.

Oh my..

And the Rangers, Mavs and Stars, too.

That would be awesome.

A 3-Ring circus with Jerrah in the center with a top hat..

"And ladies and gentlemen..my I direct your attention to your favorite team at center stage....the one..the only..and by the way..my team..your Dallas Cowboys"

Que the dancers, que the music.

Great Post!

I think McCarthy year away from the game in which he did an autopsy on his experience coupled with in depth study into 2018-2019 NFL metrics positions the Cowboys to assimilate your Theme.

Pandemics are no Man's Land, winner's and losers can not be forecasted. We fight and pray

See you in the Chat room
