Could be another big day for our backs...

Panthers DT Leoanrd sidelined with broken ankle

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Carolina Panthers have lost another defensive tackle.

Louis Leonard broke his left ankle on the final defensive play of Sunday's loss at Atlanta. Coach John Fox on Monday wouldn't say for sure that Leonard will be placed on injured reserve, but the Panthers will almost certainly have to sign another defensive tackle.

Leonard was acquired from Cleveland last month to help make up for the loss of starter Maake Kemoeatu, who was lost to a season-ending ruptured Achilles' tendon on the first day of training camp.

Leonard started against the Falcons with backup Nick Hayden out with a toe injury. The only other defensive tackle on the roster is rookie Ra'Shon Harris, picked up off waivers from Pittsburgh before the season opener.

As long as we don't get cute with our playcalling, this could be a big game for Felix and Tashard (and hopefully MB!)

I don't see where we got cute? Dallas is going to throw the ball as well as run it. I doubt Romo is going to continue to have games like he did last night.

So we will rush for 300 yards but force the ball downfield even though it's not needed.

Game plan set.

Good point actually. I actually haven't seen us running cute plays since last season. I would have liked to see more misdirection runs instead of so many shotgun draws though. When we ran misdirection off tackle, Leonard Davis was pulling and opening up gigantic holes (MB long run, Felix's 56-yarder).

I just wish we would run from under center more often, although I suppose if mixing in shotgun draws gets us a whole ton of rushing yards again, then I'll be okay with it.

Because a play involves throwing a pass it does not mean the OC is expecting the QB to make a bad decision. There are more than 1 option on most pass plays and there is nothing wrong with calling a pass even a deep ball it is the responsibility of the QB to make the right decision. I doubt Garrett called a force the ball deep call from the sideline. Romo made a mistake no doubt about it but the OC looking to attack deep was not a mistake. Hell most of the time when the running is being effective that is the time to look for a kill shot down field as the defense is looking for run.

I question the choice to drop back at all. Your ripping off 8-10 yards a carry, your trying to burn clock and keep you defense off the field and make it a 2 score defecit. The distance and down are in your favor.

Run the ball. It's simple game managment.

Cowboys got greedy, no more no less. We need to get over it. It's a new week, and an NFC team coming up. I hope we stick to the same plan as yesterday, run, run and run some more.

Yeah we had an int that does not make it a bad call. Garrett called quite a few runs in the game it is easy to come back after the fact but Garrett did what most OC would do which is play off the run and look for the big play. It is like throwing a jab looking for the knockout punch. Romo made a big mistake and it cost us but I don't begrudge an OC for looking to hit a big play and I can promise you Garrett did not tell Romo to force it.

the problem with the Boys is bad coaching, bad coaching will lose games for different reasons... as we see the Boys look like 2 totally different teams from week to week!

Romo needs to do everything including catch the ball for his Wrs if they r to have a shot!

All I can say is that another Steve Smith is coming to town, and if the secondary thought they had issues with the past Steve...
They better "Fix It" in a hurry!!!

If we had stayed running the ball in the 3rd and 4th instead of letting Romo air it out, that game would have been ours. I really just hope that Garret can see that our run game will be unstoppable if he just sticks to it.

So run on 1st and 2nd and only pass if it is 3rd down and more than 4 yards? This is the offense you want? Dallas did not abandon the run

If Romo isn't 0/0 for 0 yards next week while the RB's have a combined 400 yards on the ground, I'm breaking my television

Hell I can hear now if Dallas loses and we only throw a handful of passes the same people would be hollering how you can't play in a shell you have to open it up. Garrett calling a pass did not kill us yes we were running the ball well gosh what a perfect time to throw a play action pass but when an OC calls it he is not banking on the QB making a bad decision.

I just don't trust Romo right now, especially in big games.

Garrett has to, the team can't afford to not trust him. Romo had a bad game and he has also played aginst top teams and played well and we have won. Last year 20 to 9 win over the Giants was a big game. I think people tend to exaggerate when upset. I want to see Dallas run the ball and pass the ball not one or the other and I don't expect Romo to have many games like that.
