is Keyshawn Johnson. 5 catches for 56 yards and no TDs are not overpowering if you just look at them but in the context of the game, with 3:44 left, our offense takes the field. We have gone 5 straight possesions with McBriar (who by the way, also had a damn fine game) punting away and time running out, down by 13 points and Drew looking a bit shakey. First play from scrimmage from the "Hurry Up" offense is a 15 yard in route to Keyshawn that is thrown high, leading him into Trotter and Lewis. 98% of the WRs in the NFL don't stretch out for that pass. 98.5 Don't hold on to that pass after the hit Lewis applies. 99% don't stay on there feet and get back up after the tackle. That catch was huge. After that catch, it was like somebody flipped a switch. Bledsoe looked like a different QB. The line blocked, the backs picked up the blitz, the WRs ran good routes and the Philly defense looked beaten. If KJ doesn't make that play, I personally believe that we don't go on to score a TD. I could see that KJ was frustrated with Bledsoe/situation, earlier in the game. Rather then letting that get to him, he made what I believe to be the game changing play. Takes a certain kind of player to make that play. TO could not have done it IMO. He would have come appart way before that. KJ is a great player IMO, regardless of speed or quickness. I'll take him on my team any day of the week.

Very true. I'd add his block on the big MBIII run. He allowed Barber to get out of bound and pick up an extra 5 yards.

Key's best game this year I think.

What was impressive was that he actually managed to block 2 guys on that one play. He was blocking the DB that was up on the line of scrimmage at first and then when he realized that Marion had already burst through he disengaged from that guy and went to pick up the safety. Nice job by Peerless on that play as well, getting MB3 even more yards.

People say Key is overrated which i think is idiotic. In fact i think he is underated, not many receivers are as good overall as Key is and all you hear about him is that he is slow and other garbage like that. He and Hines Ward are the best blocking receivers and the game

Since we're talking percentages, what percentage of receivers not only hold on to the ball, but give Lewis a concussion when he drills them. I don't enjoy seeing anyone get injured, but I'd be lying if I said that didn't make me chuckle.

Well put guys...
I was left wondering why he wasn't featured more in a game like this?

Twice I watched him go in motion to the sideline on long 3rd downs where I would have instead ran skinny posts or slants, where he can use his reach & great hands...As they seemed to be doubling Witten & Glenn mostly.

I haven't seen much discussion of this. Was the TD to Glenn the result of taking advantage of Lewis being knocked out of the game?

The last TD to Glenn was do to Jim Johnson running the blitz and having 1 on 1 with Sheppard. Johnson gambled and Dallas made him pay

Not sure who was covering Terry Glenn on the TD, but it happened after the Lewis injury on the same drive. Keyshawn's catch was the first play of the drive.

Nope, it was just taking advantage of Lito Sheppard's putrid coverage this season.

Glenn scored on the only play of the game the Eagles didn't double cover him. They sent an all out blitz that the line blocked perfectly, and Julius (I think it was, but it may have been Barber) stepped up and stoned somebody in the hole they were blitzing through. Bledsoe with time, Glenn one-on-one, who the cornerback is doesn't matter; easy pickings. For the record, it was their probowl corner, Lito Shepard. Beaten so badly he stopped running before Glenn caught the ball.

Philly was in a Zero Coverage. Interestingly enough, if I recall correctly, KJ was running a 15 to 20 yard out to the left sideline, Price was running a post from the slot and Glenn was basically running a streak. All three patterns were open. I tell you, Philly looke unsettled defensively.

How about that arm attached to Bledsoe's right shoulder? Stepping back, throwing off his back foot and that pass was right on the money.

From my point of view, it looked like Sheppard was beaten so badly that all Bledsoe had to do on that one was lob it into the endzone. Glenn just kinda let it fall into his hands. Really a horrible job of covering everywhere in the secondary.

Glenn described the play as an out and up in the post game telling Brad Shamm that he knew he had to be patient running the rout so he could sell it to the CB and he did. Jim Johnson gambled and he paid.

It was actually a post and go but he ran it to perfection. Harrison up in Indy runs that route as good as it can be run and Terry did one hell of an imitation on that play.

That was one of the best plays of the entire season, man i love that smash-mouth type stuff.

Great game for Key, he makes big catches left and right. That first catch where he dove backwards was great!

I'd also like to say good job to parcells and payton for continuing to go down the field to glenn. He got open and they kept taking shots, id say it payed off. Thought it was a well called game, except for the stupid 3 TE formation thing

I'm one of the biggest anti-Keyshawn guys on this board but I gotta say I agree he had a heckuva game last night. In fact, he really has made the plays for us this season when we needed them. I still don't like him but I think he's growing on me. It just proves the idea that we as fans all really root for the laundry in the end.
