Overreaction to loss

Let me start with my concerns. Our Special Teams are terrible. We need a new coach. Defensively, we’re getting gashed by every RB that comes along. The scheme is wrong. We need a big run stuffer at DT, and we need a safety too.

That said, we lost by 4 to the defending champs, in their house, with help from a blocked punt (ST), a missed FG, and two (2!) ridiculous phantom tripping calls. I picked us to win in the ‘just for fun’ thread simply because I can’t pick against my own team, but deep down, did anyone REALLY think the NFL would let us beat The Goat and The Hoodie In Foxborough In Prime Time?

And no, I won’t consider us a true contender (one of the 5 best teams) until we solve the problems I described in the first paragraph. But the epic teeth gnashing and handwringing and ridiculous pronouncements of being THE laughingstock are absurd overreactions, and a waste of time.

It's laughable that anyone thinks the NFL sits around trying to figure out how to screw it's richest franchise, which hasn't sniffed a title in over 20 years.

The 21st century Cowboys can screw themselves just fine. All the NFL has to do is sit back and watch it happen.

How are we overreacting to losing by 2-4 points in 4 of our 5 losses? How are we overreacting when this is our 20th+ year of being mediocre despite having on of the most talented rosters in the league? These “overreacting” and “let’s calm down” threads have got to stop. Fans have every right to be angry at this incompetent, inconsistent, undisciplined, poorly handled, poorly coordinated and poorly put together team. We go through this crap every year.
You sound like Jourdan Lewis right now “Y’all lame for panicking like this”.

How many of us had this as a W when the schedule was released? (Less than 5% if we’re honest)

it sucks to lose a winnable game. I don’t blame Garrett for this game, team is going against arguably the best HC - QB combo ever - in a crap weather day.

I do blame him for the Jets game which - that one win will somehow be the difference.

I’m
Not overreacting. I knew they’d lose and we all should’ve expected them too.

This loss would’ve been easier to swallow for some if they could’ve beaten the Vikings, Saints or Packers. But they couldn’t. And they keep coming up short to decent teams. It’s clear they lack the coaching to overcome any shortcomings this team may have. I personally blame Jerry but I understand why most would blame Garrett.

Honestly who cares what you or anyone thought our wins were going to be preseason.

The reality is, this team today had a good chance to beat the SB champs, gain valuable momentum for the end of season run, and take firm hold of the division. We failed because of stupid mistakes and stupid coaching decisions.

And horrible calls.

We need to change everyone under Jason Garrett , it's not fair for JG , he is a heck of a coach .

Well the problem is we don’t even know who’s available for the draft or coaching. In a month, both pictures become a lot clearer. No coach is getting fired/letting their contract go up until after the season.

I am as bummed as anyone, but in reality, we are actually favored in four of our remaining games and the other one is the Eagles game and that is almost 50-50 and I know we can whip the Egals. As much as I want JG fired, I also ready to not give up on the '19 season yet.

The best team we have beaten is presently sitting at 5-6.!!!!!! Wake me up when this team shows some balls and do what they have to do against a team with a winning record. Hopefully this off-season brings some sweeping changes!!!!

The absolute best thing that could happen to this team would be to lose out. I'm tired of the "moral victory" threads. This team is a warm up game for the real playoff teams. Are you watching the 49ers right now? They are embarrassing the Packers and we don't even belong on the field with either of them. Enough of the, "get in and anything can happen" BS. This is not a good team...
