Sounds like Fluss went more read and React for the base defense. But in Fluss' personal defense LB is a read or react position if part of the duties is coverage.

They all hype up every "change" as a breath of fresh air which is going to unleash the Kraken and blame the outgoing scheme\coaches as holding them back. That can't always be the case. Sometimes, the players didn't do their part. So show me, don't tell me.

NFL players should be able to make a defense be minimally competent even with plays designed in the dirt. A lot of the problem is the players just weren't good enough to play any scheme. Probably the worst collection of "talent" I've ever seen for a Cowboys defense. Even 1989 seemed better.
