Pretty sure this is accurate. Out of the last 12 OT games Dallas has lost the coin toss 9/12 times and have lost 5 of the last 6.

Maybe we should change Team Captains?

I missed the OT coin toss, but I understand there was some controversy over what the Eagles called. I'd like to propose yet another rule change: the home team (or its captain) must verbally confirm the visitor's call, and only when the ref and both teams agree on the call, can the ref then toss the coin.

It sounded like he said "heads" but the no one objected when the ref said tails. There is a closeup of the video and if you watch his mouth you can tell he said tails.

The visiting team gets to make the call. So, it only matters when the Cowboys are on the road.

Losing "5 of the last six" coin tosses sounds almost exactly like the team's record. Par for the course I guess.

It literally doesn't matter who you send out there or whether you call heads or tails. It's just unlucky that the Cowboys have lost more than their share of OT coin tosses over a small sample size. No matter what, we will continue to have a 50% chance of winning each OT coin toss, unless the ref is not flipping the coin correctly.

To quote the great He Haw classic, Gloom, Despair and Agony on Me song.................."If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all"

Dallas had one captain representing...................that was weird.

I thought that was weird too. I thought there was confusion over the heads/tails call. I thought the player said something else when it was flipped. It's unbelievable this is even a discussion, seriously

I liked your post.

14 'Like' worthy.

I can't hit the like button 14 times.

Uhm, That's all I got................

lol ok gotcha. Didn't know if that was sarcasm or not w/ the mods comment haha

The overtime rules are stupid. Each team should have a chance to at least one possession regardless if one team scores a TD. This is a bush league way of deciding games.

Win it in regulation then. I think I.d rather do without OT, and just have ties. Talk about an even bigger playoff scenario clusterduck. I think it would be more entertaining

My issue with the new OT rule is that it still gives an unfair advantage to winning the coin toss. Both teams should have the ball regardless of how the first team scores.
