Overton got more snaps than Ogbonnia

He did change it up late we some timely blitzes at least. He needs to scheme pressure. NFL QB’s can pick anyone apart with time.
It looks absolutely nothing like a Fangio defense. It looks like Eberflus' defense in a 3-4.

Overton is a much lighter, more athletic interior player, while Ogbonnia is the traditional 320-pound nose/DT. Cowboys just favored Overton against the Texans. Plus Overton will just continue to get better which should lead to more snaps.
Ogbonnia doesnt play NT here. He is a 5T

Actually, Ogbonnia was in the blue tent. He was limited after that.

Depth player comes in when two guys above him on depth chart get hurt, does nothing.

What a story!

Ogbonnia's girth was needed at the line of scrimmage last week for a strong Ravens rush oline, running QB and very physical running back.

Houston does not present that type of offensive identity or roster so they gave the smaller guy more reps against a lesser oline.

Consider the opponent.

My assumption was the defense was pass rushing more in this game because they shut the run down early.

Similarly, Ogbonnia was brought in to be the third DL in the 3-4 sets. He’s a run-stopper. Overton is more of a 3-tech, so how often he is in depends more on how often we use pass defense and need to give Quinnen and Clark a break. Of course, he could also be playing some of Quinnen’s run downs to keep him fresh.

Most likely his numbers went up because Bullard is out and we trust Overton more than Elijah Garcia, who was signed to the 53 while Bullard is on IR.

What’s your opinion on it?
Have not specifically watched him, prolly won't. I'm more interested in end of the season evaluations.

IMO, Overton is a very nice rotational piece. Doubt if he has much of a ceiling, but a good dude to have on the team.
