Owens effect on new head coach

Maybe we're all looking at this wrong. The Cowboys should just call TO and ask who he wants so there are no issues in the future. Or, at least, whoever they pick should be forced to meet with Owens for his approval.

Seriously, how do you think the TO factor affects the HC search? You got to figure some coaches don't want the trouble of building a team that comes with TO on the roster. I believe TO would be very positive in the beginning with a new coach, but how soon till he's 'testing' the new guy? I mean, Owens constantly tested BP, why think he wouldnt test the new guy?

I would hope we hire a coach that Jerry feels can do the job, not which coach would be the best babysitter for TO. I also would hope the next coach is still here long after TO retires.

Well, it's going to be interesting. My biggest gripe about the Owens signing was that it was done with the idea of Parcells being able to control him. BUT we all knew Parcells was a year to year guy.

SO...I guess the new coach will have to make a decision about Owens. And honestly, if he's gonna get rid of him, it should be done before the season starts because to do so later is going to be a problem.

It's the same as the 3-4. We have drafted and filled the roster with 3-4 players. That means one of two things. The next coach is a 3-4 guy (limiting the number of choices we have) OR we scrap the 3-4 and start over.
