I am afraid they won't go far enough. Instead of a set amount($500,000) fines should be a set % of salary (50%) of their pay, that would get their attention, regardless of the amount they make.

thats a great idea. a 50k fine to a first rnd pick is'nt the same as a 7th rnd pick.
i think the league has to get this under control. i don't watch the sports channels to see the wanted posters.like it or not these players are role models to kids and if they see their favorite player acting up they will too. i watched a littleleague game last year and seen a batter charge the mound. i would have never considered that when i was a kid. i might catch the guy after the game though.lol

A heafty amount of community work will also get the point across. I don't mean 8 hours on a Saturday either. I do have the same fear as you however.
