Science has officially proven that Ozzy Osbourne is a mutant. The 66-year-old rocker has claimed to do every drug in the books, but despite his hard lifestyle, Ozzy Osbourne is still as healthy as ever. According to genome experts, Osborne might have his mutant genes to thank for it, reports the Spreadit.
Last July, scientists sequenced Ozzy’s genes, now referred to as the “Full Osbourne Genome,” because, as head scientist Nathaniel Peason put it, “Why not Ozzy?,” reports WAAF. Peason, who sequenced the rocker’s genome, discovered that the “Full Osbourne Genome” contains several variants that “we’ve never seen before.” These mutant variants could impact how Ozzy absorbs recreational drugs.
Ultimately, sequencing Ozzy Osbourne’s genome might prove to be medically valuable, and his mutant genetic code “could mean potential breakthroughs in the world of medicine,” according to WAAF. Although initially hesitant to allow scientists to track his genome, Ozzy Osbourne was persuaded that it might further science, and started to favor “the idea of offering the mysteries of his DNA to science.”
Sharon Osbourne, who is married to Ozzy, isn’t surprised to find out her husband is a mutant. Osbourne reportedly said of her mutant husband, “I’ve always said that at the end of the world there will be roaches, Ozzy and Keith Richards. [Ozzy will] outlive us all. That fascinated me – how his body can endure so much.”
