Ill start with coaching, Garrett is the worst coach in Cowboys history. Yes, worse than Campo. And in his press conference, he showed why this team fails to accept any responsibility in their mistakes. There were questions about if he thought he mismanaged situations tonight and his responses were always "we'll have to look at the tape and review it". He accepts no blame whatsoever. How do we expect the players to be accountable if their coach the guy theyre supposed to follow accepts none.
Tony Romo, tonight i saw whats wrong with tony plain and clearly. He doesnt have the arm anymore. He's cant throw the ball how he used to. Thats why there is no vertical threat because there is no vertical arm. On every throw Romo had that was deep, it was a floater. Every single one. Dez had these DBs destroyed all night but had to sit and slow down for the ball because it just wasnt deep enough. Tonight even Garrett quickly threw Romo under the bus and said they had a run called an Romo audibled into a pass on his int. Romo might be a good QB who can throw the hell out of short and passes under 25 yrds but he has zero armstrength to get it deep anymore. The regularly thrown pass low and behind a receiver is also a clue that he doesnt have the zip to get it in front of a crossing route, slant route anymore. He can still be effective but its clear he doesnt have the arm anymore.
The game tonight was won at halftime, all the Cowboys had to do was continue to run the ball and shorten the game. Even after GBs two scores they couldve then still went to the run and the Packers wouldve simply ran out of time to make the comeback. That was clear cut bad coaching. Garretts remarks on that in his presser were "we wanted to maintain an aggressive gameplan" when asked if he regreted abandoning the run his respone was "we had some success with the pass, and tried to mix in the run, but we have to review the game to see how the play calling balanced out". Really? There was no balance. Murray was taken completely out of the game by his coaches.
Dez, i dont think that was the right thing to do walking out on the team before the game was done. Win or lose you're a team, this is the childish immature Dbag things he does that make him questionble. His tweet im sure was advice given to him by his agent to cool the strom some. He too needs to be held accountable for his actions.
Oh Ware oh Ware is thou Demarcus Where? People could make excuses for him if he was bein double teamed. But he is being singled by both LTs and RTs. Thats what makes it worse looking at him play. Not only that but he is one of the biggest reasons teams are able to run on this DEF. He runs a deep loop around his man and the opposing team just runs it to the gap he just created by willingly running himself out of the play. I don think the NFL just suddenly figured him out, i just think his injuries have taken their toll on his body and he just isnt healthy.
Sterlin Moore, why was this guy cut? I could see him becoming the slot guy next yr. If Carr is released id be fine with Mo and Scan starting and Moore playing the slot. Its only one game but Moore did this regularly last yr aswell.
Ending note, While this loss isnt all on Romo its tiring seeing the same Romo mistakes over and over again. The same types of outcomes.
