I have read that the Packers and Chargers had an abundance of WRs.

I decided to put all of their WRs into a spreadsheet.

I don't really know the quality of these players, but it does appear that each team has a lot of veterans at the position.

Lots of UDFAs in those lists. Maybe one of them shakes a vet loose.

I hope ONE of the first 5 Wrs on Green bays list or ONE the first 6 on San Diegos list gets cut :)

I want WR Shaky Smithson on the team for obvious reasons.

For some reason I thought Royal signed with Wash

the signing was announced on twitter and maybe espn, but was not official. once SD saw how Washington was gobbling up recievers, they upped their offer to Royal.

Vincent Brown looked really good for the Chargers. As did Cobb for GB.

Ahhh ok thanks

I did notice where the three top WRs for the Pack come from. Not exactly football powerhouses

I wanted us to get Royal personally..I think he was a victim of having bad Qb's since Cutler left...

no chance the top 5 Packers get cut outside of maybe Driver. As far as SD, I wouldn't get too excited over Parrish, Brown or Spurlock

I still can't believe we didn't try for Royal when he was available.

I think everyone (FO)thought Holmes was going to take off with it but it hasn't happened yet, but maybe he will....Holmes has been up and down so far....guess we could nickname him slinky

Also look towards New England ... Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Jabar Gaffney, Deion Branch, Julian Edelman, Dante Stallworth. Matthew Slater is their coverage gunner and special teams captain and will make the the 53 for that reason, which is one less spot for one of those veterans.

It took a 3 year 13.5 mill and a 6 mil signing bonus to get him. I assume from Robinson, they don't want to spend at that level (or don't have cap room to burn) for a WR3.
But that money seems much more doable than what Jax paid LRob.

We did. The money wasn't right. I spoke with Royal at a bar in Arlington, Virginia a month ago or so.

You know this whole summer I was really hoping Jerry would go after Steve Smith ( Not Carolina). He signed with the the Lams for 1.25 million. This guy had 106 catches two years ago. He would have been an awesome fit to replace Laurent Robinson.
