Well..

If we didn't beat them..

It looks like GB is having a diffiicult time against the Atlanta Falcons.

Looks like they got too high over their victory at ATT Stadium.

So we have some work to do.

What was your opinions about GB and Aaron Rodgers now ?

It's not the the Pack "can't get up".

Atlanta is just too good. It is their year.

atlantas good. but i do agree teams "get up" against us. their best shot is w dallas. oh well not an excuse. dallas laid an egg. started off too slow. crosby killed 3 straight 50+ fgs. but misses a 40 today... sigh

Can't "get up", eh? Their doctor could probably prescribe something for that. Viagra or whatever.

Happens even in the regular season. Beat the Cowboys one week and then come out flat the following week. In this case, the Falcons got up 24 points before the packers knew what hit them. Never got in it. The Falcons played their game and the Cowboys did not.

Guess i'll go for the Falcons to beat the Pats/Steelers cuz I hate both of those teams.

I don't think teams "get up" to play us. I am not surprised that the Falcons destroyed atlanta (I did not watch the game but the score speaks for itself). GB is not a very good team. GB was unable to stop Zeke all game. They could not stop Dez. Their secondary was decimated.

Dallas just started too slow in the first quarter for whatever reason and things didn't go our way. Mason Crosby hitting 3 50+ field goals? Lol. The GB OL doing a choke hold on our DL and the officials don't see it? Cook making the catch of his life?

The good news is that we will probably be back in the playoffs many times over the next 4-5 years. We either become so good that we can overcome bad officiating + bad luck, or we get to the playoffs enough times that things go our way one year.

I thought all year long the Packers defense was one of the absolutely 2-3 worst defenses in the league.

I honestly think their WRs are pedestrian.

Obviously their running game was an absolute disaster ever since they lost Lacy.

All in all, one of the worst teams we've seen advance this far in the playoffs in a long time.

IMHO Aaron Rodgers was worth 8-9 of their 10 wins all by himself. They counted on him to play like Superman ever game and when he finally couldn't, the whole rotten house of cards fell in.

Cowboys physically battered the Packers - Atlanta faced a broken team.

To the OP question about Aaron Rodgers.

Arrogant, aloof, awkward and just generally not likeable.....at least by me.

Having said that he is a guarterback savant.
A true generational talent at the position.

If I were a packers fan, I would find it disturbing the talent or lack thereof, that they have surrounded Rodgers with.

It could be argued that the packers won their title with arguably one of the worst packers teams during the Rodgers era.

Irregardless, it's now 7 years removed that day and a string of playoff failures since then.

That team has more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese.
I see the pack at a crossroad......
Do they stick to the homegrown model to try and restock this team or do they jump into the F A game before Rodgers is past his prime.
Or is the NFL in a paradigm shift with Brady showing that qbs now play into their 40's. Lots of questions and no clear answers

Cannot even fathom any team not being sky high up for NFC title game....one game away from the Super Bow.
It would be the very first time in NFL history if they were not.
This isn't regular season.
OF COURSE THEY WERE UP FOR THE GAME.

Great post -- you post useful questions.

I think you make a good point that the Packers front-office is likely VERY over-rated in terms of what they've done surrounding Rodgers will talent.

Some day they are going to look back at Aaron Rodger's career stats and wonder "How the heck did this guy not win more Superbowls?". I read today that the average score for opposing teams in Rodger's 7 playoff losses was 36 points. 36 points!. Some of it is on Rodgers, however, in general their defenses have stunk AND they've never had much of a running game. Reminds of Marino during his prime years.

I know a lot of Packer fans who want to get rid of their GM (Ted Thompson) and get more a wheeler dealer type that isw willing to do things like trade for players, be active in free agency, etc.

They are going to need a 16' cowboy like draft to restock that team with talent. Maybe 2 consecutive years of great drafts.
I expect they will stay the course for a couple more years but the moment of truth is on the horizon for the pack.
They seem to always come up with answers so I'm not counting them out as long as Aaron's level of play is elite.

Packers played their Super Bowl level game against us.
I don't know. The Cowboys came out flat. If the club came out hot on both sides of the ball...and Cowboys would have won. Green Bay was/is not that great..Atlanta proved that. The Cowboys should have won that game. Makes me sick!
