They are 31st in the league (just behind the Patriots) giving up 310'ish yards a game. They lead the league with 16 Interceptions (and 3 TD returns) after 8 games.

Hard to tell at this point if they are going to hold the Packers back and lose the Packers a game this year.

Conventional wisdom is that they can't keep getting this many INTs, however, they've been in the top 3 in the league the last 3 years in interceptions so maybe this is just the way they roll

Given how well their QB is playing, I'm not sure it matters how bad their pass defense is.

They have been fortunate with turnovers which has saved them 4 games this year alone. San Diego, New Orleans, Carolina, and Minnesota would have beaten them had they not got the int's. And Chicago almost beat them but Cutler threw 2 int's in that game to seal the Packers win. Their defense is suspect, but they seem to come up with turnovers that just happen to come at opportune times and also happen to be game changers.

Their offense is tops in the league, almost unstoppable.

You have to think Rogers is going to have a human-like game at some point and they'll need the defense to hold.

Perry, I have been saying that about Rodgers for a couple of years now.
The guy is just special. I have been watching football since the mid 60s and seriously this guy is playing the best I have ever seen at that position. He just does not make the killer mistake.

as far as the defense goes, I think they should have worked out during the lockout-that probabaly would have cured their woes. (Sarcasm)

Seriously, I have been waiting for Capers defense to show up since September and they have not got there. Mike Neal is due back next week and he should help with the pass rush that the Packers lost with Jenkins. You had to figure that if the dreg QBs of the league have been torching the Packers a quality QB like Rivers would do some serious damage. Thankfully, Rivers was in the Christmas spirit early this year.

Rob:

8 Games in Rogers is on a historic pace. 24 TDs, 3 INTs. His 125 QB rating will only go up after today's game.

If there is one year a team can win with all offense, this is it. Too bad Peyton is missing out

Packers play several game in cold lambeau in Dec and January. That may slow him down. Ain't gonna be a defense.

I thought it was hilarious that the announcers were saying that Dom Capers will give up some plays in certain situations if it means the team wins in the end. They were up a ton at that time and Rivers was just starting to move the ball really well.

I don't know what that means but they were saying it as though Rivers was just being escorted to the endzone by the Packers D.

Then Rivers cuts it to 14. Then Rivers cuts it to 7.

Just couldn't help but laugh.

Half the time the Packers don't even seem to be covering the opposing TDs when I see all these TD highlights against them.

Did losing Nick Collins really mean that much?

I'm sure the fact the other team is having to play catchup or at least try to keep up has no baring on that 31st in the league stat.

They were struggling with Collins. I think they miss Jenkins. He was at least someone they had to account for which allowed Matthews some freedom. Meal is supposed to give them what they miss in Jenkins. We will see.

My thoughts as well (assuming that was sarcasm)
