It never ceases to amaze me how everyone can think every situation is the same. Gregory reportedly missed a test in November (may have been earlier, especially if it was during his time in rehab or soon after). If he wasn't serving a suspension at the time, he would have been able to play the entire season. Geronimo deserves the same due process that Gregory got, and that means the appeal process takes months, so it would be extremely unjust for him to be suspended immediately.

I agree, I was just trying to make a weak attempt at humor considering the general image of the Packers is squeaky-clean and people still consider the Cowboys as lawless thugs. The 1990's syndrome.

So let's move on. Clearly I'm no good at this.

Conduct detrimental to the league. Commish can step in I guess any time he wants and do something clumsy or he can sit on it randomly and do nothing too. Maybe he'll wait to see what Mara prefers.

And he's still owed due process, if he's convicted, he will subsequently be suspended. Even if he isn't convicted, they may even decided to suspend him. Since the legal process is still in the beginning portions, it really makes no sense to suspend him now.

I think suspension for procession should come after the legal process myself

The league does its own investigations and prides itself on having higher standards than just what happens in court.

It sounds like they've had more than enough time to act yet they haven't.

The name Geronimo Allison might not mean anything to us but the reality is that he's a guy the Packers will turn to since Jordy can't play. It would be a big loss.

He's been emerging these last few weeks for GB. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets 5 targets if Jordy misses the game.

With the Personal Conduct policy the League usually waits until the Courts act and then they decide

Getting arrested with drugs puts the player into the Drug Program, similarly to failing a test but doesn't immediately result in a suspension for the Drug aspect.........once a player is placed in the drug program they get tested more often but if they stay clean for 90 days they are cleared and reset back to 0

It is the arrest and the DUI charge that gets punished under the Personal Conduct policy

For example LBell got 1 game for getting arrested with pot and 2 games(reduced to 1 game) for arrest for DUI and he was placed in the Drug Program.......he must not have stayed clean because they kept testing... he missed 2-3 more tests and got suspended 4 games(reduced to 3 games and 4th game check)

RGregory failed a test at the 2015 combine and placed in the Drug Program.... he failed to stay clean and missed or failed a test or two in 2015 and got 2 and 4 game check fines......he was caught again in Feb of 2016 and this cost him 4 games........he got caught again in July and that is 10 games......he got caught again in Nov and got 1 year
