Packers Release Jaire Alexander

Yeah you don't give Diggs enough credit especially for that 2 or 3 year run he was. He had great coverage skills....yes he was more boom/bust than Alexander but he also boomed more than Alexander.
I mean, there's nothing I can say or show you that would make you say jaire can cover better. I just think it's crazy. And I liked diggs alot during his 2 year stetch. Jaire is just on a different tier. Lattimore used to be on that tier as well but looks to have fell off. Diggs was never on guys like that level

Based on what? I get interceptions aren't the be all but the rate he was getting picks at was elite. And it wasn't fluke right place right time he was causing most of those picks.

Based on late season performance vs real quarterbacks and teams. Do you ever notice trevon diggs in a playoff game or late season matchup vs a contender? Serious question. Jaire shows up.

I'm in the middle with this argument between you two look Trayvon Diggs is truly going to prove it here not only to stay healthy he's going to be in a defense that requires him to come up and make tackles that's a fact I don't know how much of that defense they're going to running cover 3 he's not a good fit if he's not going to want to come off two injuries and be physical he won't be here in 2026 so this is going to be between are we keeping Diggs or bland I don't think both of them are staying..

So one of those two are getting a contract and I believe Bland might be more physical you know he might be the guy coming up and can fit in this defense...

yes, Alexander if healthy and not also injury prone which concerns me with the rest of these group being in a lot of injury rehab coming back would probably be a better fit for this defense.

I believe right now I'm sure Matt is in Jerry's ear or Steven's ear or will mcclay's ear going hey let's just bring his kid in for an interview let's get him a physical let's just talk to him about contracts and just see where it goes there's no harm in kicking the tires....

I'm betting it's happening because I think he realizes this is one of the corners that fits his defense... Now there's a lot of things going on though that we have to take into consideration is health and his demands what if he comes in here and says I'm not happy with 16.5 million with no guarantees and he might want to hold out next contract like Hassan Reddick we need to be careful of that that's why you got to bring him in and listen to him this is not a done deal where he's going to be signed by any team there's a lot of X factors that goes on here..

You gonna give him that credit for that pass by Dak to Cooks? Because I think the pass sucked and yes I think Alexander has an edge over Cooks. Cook Lamb like that then I'd agree.
Ill give him credit for realizing he is in a football game in January and there is no next game.

Diggs' effort on that catch and run by Kittle will forever change my opinion of Diggs.

Those INTs you keep talking about, he dropped one (same game I believe) that could have changed things.

I dont care about regular season stats anymore. I want guys who will die for their teammates when the games matter the most.

Diggs isnt that. Alexander is.

Yeah I can't do that. I can't pick and chose what games to determine how good Diggs is. Because I've seen a lot of Darius Slayton with Alexander on him...I've seen him work Brandin Cooks...I've seen a lot of #2's and #3's on him.....I do remember Nabers cooking him.

Yeah one play doesn't make or break a guy. Especially when you watch every single Diggs game and at best watch a few Alexander games.

We can't devalue the regular season. If you don't show up in the regular season there's no playoffs. There's nothing.

He's been injury prone, but he's an All Pro when healthy and we need experienced CB's this year. Hopefully Jerry finished eating his salty Sausage McMuffin so he can jump on this.

Who cares, the Cowboys are always in for sloppy seconds and remember one thing, Prescott was an ALL PRO too and we all know what this organization has in him. and that's another beatdown season, lucky to be out Giants for 3rd place in Eastern Div.

There is more than one play where Diggs shied away from contact. Many more.

I am bringing up his failure in big moments. Those were 2. In the same game.

There is plenty more where that came from as well.

The fact this is even a conversation shows that our fans will forever over value our own players over players of other teams.

Diggs acts like he's a Rottweiler, but when another dog comes at him, he turns into a Pomeranian.

Did diggs blow his knee yes did he injure the cartilage in his knee yes. I think the ACL contributed to the cartilage and I blame the Dallas Rehab department for the cartilage and trying to rush Diggs back. Hell they rushed Gallup back and he could barely run.

And Alexander has no failed moments?

Going to Philly...book it
I doubt it. Philly is really thin at DE after losing Sweat and backup Brandon Graham. Nolan Smith tore his triceps in the SB and their 1st rd pick who has pass rush ability isn’t back on the field til August.

Ive never seen him make a business decision in a playoff game.

Thats for damn sure.

Stop absolving Diggs because he plays for the Cowboys. You guys are insufferable.

Alexander shows up in the playoffs. Diggs doesnt. And Alexander damn sure doesnt run away from contact like Diggs does, especially in the playoffs.

They can both be bad in coverage and etc. Thats valid. I am talking about intangibles you cant teach. Diggs is a WR who plays corner. Hence him being great at INTs and crappy at contact.

You watch Diggs play. You want me believe the little you’ve seen Jaire play you think you’re not biased?

..if Diggs, decides to make more biz decisions about tackling. Sign him up, Jerry.
