He wasnt nearly as worthless here as many believe. The FO didnt want to lose him

One of of not the best blocking TE's in the NFL in Dallas. Basically like having another OT on the field. Way to erratic as a receiver here though.

He is a headache, but he has always been a good football player

Its amazing at the amount of hate Marty B gets on this board. Was he childish when he was here...Yes but to act like he is not a talented football player, or to act as if he is an under achiever is silly at best. Over the last 5 years hes been a top 4 TE. I will say that we didnt use him properly either, so he is not all to blame for his time here.

He doesnt hate Witten. He is playfully disrespectful. I dont know Martellus from the standpoint that I can call him up, but he is a friend of a friend. We were all together years back, and he was doing his Witten bit...Im faster than Jason, Stronger than Jason, My hands are better than Jason, I block better than Jason...So I asked him so you think you are better than Witten, and his response was "Nah, that Mutha ______ IS GREAT, its his God ____ intangibles....and he laughed. It was almost as he had a respectful jealousy because he had all the tools to be better but he knew he wasnt.

When you've played for 5 teams you're odds of getting a SB is greater than the 3 guys you've listed that have played on 1.

Martellus Bennet doesn't give two ***** about the game of football. He's said as much in several articles. He plays cause it pays. He's an awful teammate and always puts himself first.
