Packers | Team still in contention to sign Vinatieri

Pete Dougherty, of PackersNews.com, reports the Green Bay Packers are still in the hunt to sign free agent PK Adam Vinatieri (Patriots). All appearances suggest Vinatieri is waiting out the market rather than trying to strike a quick deal to return to the New England Patriots or join the Packers. The Packers and Patriots appear to be the only teams in the bidding, which is sure to conclude with the best contract ever signed by a kicker.
