ATLANTA (AP) — With the words "Feed The Children" written across his black T-shirt, NFL outcast Adam "Pacman" Jones stood outside the church doors, passing out almost 500 boxes of food and toiletries to the people who know him best.

On Tuesday, Jones helped needy families at Word of Faith Ministries, a church in an impoverished area on the west side of Atlanta where his aunt and uncle are members. He said the church was a perfect place to pay homage to a community that has given him the most support.

"In the Bible it says, 'Let the past be the past and move on to the future,'" Jones said. "I think for my situation, God did everything for a reason. Yes, I made a lot of bad mistakes. And I owned up to them. I want to tell the kids everything I went through, so they won't have to."

Take these words and do what you want.

Good for him. He needs the good publicity and I hope he is doing this for the right reasons, not just good publicity.

I feel ashamed that I doubted him.
I hope he makes it rain for a lot of charities.
I cannot go on typing, my fingers trimble at his generosity.

Seeing that the cbs 11 cameras from Dallas were there in Atlanta with him so that they could do a little segment on it last night, I have to wonder.

He was just standing there handing out bottled water off the back of a truck from what they showed.

And he said he thinks he has 4 to 1 odds that he will be a cowboy.

How do you know he's not doing this out of his heart? Stop assuming, it never does any good.

Sure he is doing it partly to get in good graces with Goodell, but what is he supposed to do, just sit around and do nothing?

For some, Pacman can do no right. If it doesn't do anything, then why is he not helping others and vice versa. I hope Jerry gets this deal done and Pacman is successful as a Cowboy just to quiet the naysayers.

My good man, there is no one here who is more for Pac-Man than I.

Whether he destroys baby milk factories, poisons wells or builds farmhouses for the Amish, it does not concern me.

All I want is to gaze out onto the field one crisp autumn afternoon and see him line up opposte TNew. Then I want the opposing offensive coordinator see that and decide that running is the best option. Then I want to see Ware, Spencer, Canty, Zack (the spiritual leader) and Ratliff do their thing.
And that is to destroy the running game and harass the QB all afternoon long.

That is my dream.
Others may dream of riches and hot babes.
I dream of that defensive machine that Pac-Man could help build.

I can't wait to see Pac-Man build farmhouses for the Amish.

Like I said when it happened, there was a victim, and lets not forget that.
And we have not.

And to mention Pac-Man's stupid and violent past is nothing ground-breaking: thus the suspension and criminal charges and dropped and reduced charges ad nauseum.
Again, we know his record.

As no one can deny his thugish record, he deserves one last chance. Again, Pac-Man is saying and doing all the right things. At this moment.
Too, there is no denying Pac-Man gives us a powerful presence in the backfield. It would be breathtaking to see him and TNew cover.
No one can deny the intoxicating scenario of that, either.

You obviously don't want Pac-Man to sign in Dallas. So I take it you would be that upset if Pac-Man was signed? That you would not see the games? That you would ride into the sunset?
Get real.

Jerra is wheeling and dealing with that objective of Pac-Man on the field. Wearing the star. I didn't make the NFL nor the gun manufacturers
I'm just a regular guy (though innately intellectual) who wants to see my team win.
The charges and settlements and gunplay and priors will remain perhaps, but the NFL goes on.

There have been other excesses i.e. the killah in Baltimore.

So let us turn to football and root on an autumnal, ambrosian abornmally azure abundantly anarchic and agustan-in-its-appearance Sunday. When the colossals of the earth -- angels and demons -- collide on the sacred ground of the N F L.
