Oh brother...that's NOT what he said...Here's the REAL interview...

For the record, when asked about Mcnabb's 360 passing yards Sunday, his actual words (at least in this interview) were, "It's going to be a big challenge but you know, they played the rams, they didn't play the Dallas Cowboys so you know, we'll do what we have to do.......we're going to show up so we'll see what happens on Monday."

Hey Pacman, you're supposed to tackle the receiver AFTER he makes the catch.

While I wholeheartedly agree with the statement, I don't think he should have said it. Bulletin board material.

I will say this though. Their receiving core without Curtis and Brown can be easily shut down against a good secondary.. Unless D. Jackson can prove me wrong.

This is a high octane offense, but their receivers just aren't that good. I don't know how they keep producing.

So where did Tim McMahon get that quote from? Because after listening to the link that Boysboy provided, why did Tim McMahon put his quote in context like that? To get viewers? Just another example of lazy and lame journalism even if it is a blog.

Did you see the full context of his statement? When you see what he actually said, it isn't bad at all. The Eagles can post it on their bulletin board if they want to. It won't help them one bit. Jimmy Johnson once said "We're not Houston." Well, we're not St. Louis either.

Prior to the '93 NFC Title game against the Niners, he got so carried away that he ended up guaranteeing a win. He retracted his statement the next day, but it was already too late as the Niners used it as BB material.

Guess what-we pounded them.

I wonder when it will translate to his play on the field.

it started on sunday when he had 2 pass breakups and a hit that forced an incompletion.

Sorry, I was typing the post before the update had been put up.

In that case, go Pacman. Shut 'em down.:)

I think we all need to realize that McMahon is the worst.

He sensationalizes everything.

This attempt is pathetic. I went to listen to the audio after reading this earlier tonight. I am guessing he will just say it's from a different point in time as to when Pacman said that about the Eagles.

I say that because he has the word 'Dude' in there with the quotes.

But you know what. I hope he has the audio of it because I am emailing someone at the Dallas Morning News and it isn't Timmy.

It's his editor - Barry Vigoda - BVigoda@***BANNED-URL***

I would suggest some others email him as well. Maybe it will curb Timmy from some of this BS in the future.

From Dallas Cowboys .com

"I was really close. Really, really close," Jones said. "I should've caught that ball. I did pretty good, got around the ball, made a couple of plays." Statistically, Jones was credited with one tackle and a pass deflection. He also returned two punts for eight yards.

There is a legitimate reason that Tim McMahon has been banned from the Mavericks locker room post game...he is a horrible writer who either doesn't take the time to make sure his quotes and information is correct or doesn't care. Ignoring anything he says is in the best interest of all rational people.

Can't believe all these people crying about this. "Oh No, Adam, you're giving the Eagles bulletin board material".

SCREW THE EAGLES!

I hated us picking up Adam Jones, but this kind of attitude is EXACTLY what our defense needs. Quit dancing around questions and tell it like it is, then go out and back it up on Monday.

"If you're gonna talk the talk, you better walk the walk." - Jimmy Johnson

Would anyone really cry if it were Charles Haley saying the same thing? We have a better team than the Egirls, let them say what they want. Hopefully it'll force the other defenders to step it up and help back up the talk.
