'Pacman' to give it a go in music
Wednesday, August 15, 2007 NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Suspended Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones is not expected to play in the NFL this season, so he keeps looking for new ways to stay busy.

First there was wrestling, now it's hip-hop.
His National Street League Records, based in Atlanta, announced Wednesday that Jones will team with producer Spoaty in a duo called Posterboyz with their first single "Let it Shine" being released Aug. 27. The song talks about big money, cars and jewelry.

This latest venture might cause more problems for Jones with the National Football League. Officials are looking into whether or not the record label's name, National Street League Records, infringes on the league's trademark, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.

Jones has been suspended from the NFL for the 2007 season for violating the league's personal conduct policy by being arrested six times. Police records for various incidents in Tennessee and Georgia show five different arrests for the former first-round draft pick.

His sixth arrest came in June when he was booked by Las Vegas police in the most serious case. He is under indictment there on two felony counts of coercion stemming from a February fight at a strip club that left a bouncer, a former wrestler himself, paralyzed.

A felony obstruction of an officer charge was postponed until this fall in Georgia, and misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct were revived in July and postponed until January.

Jones also has signed a contract with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and debuted in a pay-per-view last weekend under a temporary injunction negotiated between the team, TNA and Jones' attorneys to limit his chances of physical injury.

I know its "ruined rap." (Debatable, some people like where rap has gone; I don't). Its why for the most part, I've stopped listening to rap.

Except for at parties. Even some of the stuff you mentioned is fine for party music on campus.

Glorifying big money, cars, and jewelry. Great message.
Exactly...music should be about drinking, loose women, and their chests.

But that's me...

Now somewhere in the black mountain hills of Dakota
There lived a young boy named Rocky Raccoon
And one day his woman ran off with another guy
Hit young Rocky in the eye, Rocky didn't like that
He said I'm gonna get that boy
So one day he walked into town
Booked himself a room in the local saloon

Rocky Raccoon checked into his room
Only to find Gideon's bible
Rocky had come equipped with a gun
To shoot off the legs of his rival
His rival it seems had broken his dreams
By stealing the girl of his fancy
Her name was Magil and she called herself Lil
But everyone knew her as Nancy

Now she and her man who called himself Dan
Were in the next room at the hoe down
Rocky burst in and grinning a grin
He said Danny boy this is a showdown
But Daniel was hot - he drew first and shot
And Rocky collapsed in the corner

Now the doctor came in stinking of gin
And proceeded to lie on the table
He said Rocky you met your match
And Rocky said, doc it's only a scratch
And I'll be better, I'll be better doc as soon as I am able

Now Rocky Raccoon he fell back in his room
Only to find Gideon's bible
Gideon checked out and he left it no doubt
To help with good Rocky's revival

Pacman is a racoon!

I listen to just about all genres of music but my favorites are country & classic rock. Yes, I know that they have songs with "great" messages too.

If you can't rap about big money, cars, and jewelry.....what is there to rap about?

Seriously though......I'm surprised the whole "money" rapping thing hasn't gone out of style yet. It's starting to become a parody of itself.

Real original, you a$sclown. Somebody pour some bleach in his "40" for me.

2 years in the league and you're already the biggest joke the NFL has to offer. And that's saying something.

And yes, rap has been defiled by garbage like that. You can thank the south for that.

I love rap/hip-hop with a passion, but these clowns give it a horrible name. It's a shame too... when there are SO many talented rap artists who actually have *GASP* an original thought. The strong majority of them reside in the "underground."

With the way it's represented on TV and radio nowadays, I don't blame people like Hostile for ignoring rap one bit. I've ignored "mainstream" rap for years.

I like their stuff. I wish I knew the name of the song they played on BET with the ladies correlated with giraffes. Great brass section. "I like the way you move?" I dunno..............
