Pacquiao DESTROYS Hatton in the second round with a brutal hook to the jaw that landed clean. Hatton was out cold before he hit the canvas. Hatton was also knocked down twice in the first round.

Time for the "Get Hit-man" to hang up the gloves. I want to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather next.

I wouldn't go that far. PacMan is the best right now and Hatton just lost to the two best fighters in the world. Hatton can continue to box if he wants to, he just as to stay away from both Mayweather, PacMan, and Marquez.

Hatton was outmatched, outclassed, and pretty much out-everythinged.

Pac was just on point and Hatton was painfully too slow.

I'm by no means a boxing expert but that was a clinic.

Complete domination.

Ricky made the same mistake he made against Floyd, walking staight forward with no head movement. He walked straight into that punch. I like Hatton, but he simply can't hang with the elite fighters.

Pacquiao-Mayweather will be a much more interesting fight. Floyd will move and his defence will frustrate Pacquiao, I see him outboxing Manny much like Marquez did only Floyd wont let it be close enough for him to get screwed by the judges the way Marquez was.

I would really love to see Pacquiao-Mosley as well though, I'd fancy Mosley to take that.

My fiance is Phillipino, watched it with her family. Needless to say they had a good time.

The exact reason I stopped watching boxing pay-per-views a long long time ago.

Same here.:laugh2:

But I'll pay to watch Pacquiao vs Mayweather though.

Man, I still remember when Pacquiao was still an unknown boxer. He destroyed lotta good Thai boxers here in Thailand.

The first time I saw Pacquiao was on the Tyson/Lewis undercard, I believe. I knew then he was going to be a star.

If Pac Man and Mayweather fight I'm going to Vegas, even If I don't havea ticket. During a big fight Vegas has a different feel to it.

I'm done underestimating this guy. He is just a humble blue collar fighter and I think he can take Mayweather.

Pac can take Mayweather, no doubt about it.

This guy is the closest thing to Roy Jones Jr. when Roy was in his prime. And, in his prime, Jones was not only unbeatable, he was practically un-hittable.

Manny's offense is better than Mayweather's, but Mayweather's defense is probably better than Manny's is. Manny is one of those "will not be denied" guys between the ears too. He's at the top of his game, and should stay there for a few year. He reminds me of Duran in his youth too. He's a real nice kid, but in the ring, like Duran, it's total "seek and destroy".

The only way he loses to Floyd is if that aggression has him walk into a Mayweather hay-maker....................

BTW, my wife and her family are all Filipino. Some of her older relatives are from the there, so he's a big deal around here.

Floyd will out-box Manny the same way Marquez did. He wont rush him like Hatton tried to do, instead he will sit back and let Manny do the chasing which Manny does not like doing. He get's frustrated and lunges in leaving himself wide open to counters....the favorite punch of Mayweather. Also, don't forget that Floyd has arguably the best defence that the sport has ever seen.

I like Pacman and he is a great fighter, but there is nobody even remotely comparible to an in-prime Roy Jones Jr IMO.

I agree. Floyd would eventually pick Pacquiao apart, but Manny will have his moments in the first few rounds. The thing about Mayweather is that he is always in top shape for a fight and doesn't take any opponent lightly, even though he eventually clowns them in the ring. But even still, neither is anything close to a prime Roy Jones Jr.

PacMan would get destroyed against Mayweather. Floyd is the best P4P fighter in boxing history.

I don't think so. How long did it take Mayweather to KO Oscar? Oh thats right he couldn't and Oscar actually kept the fight competitive. Against PacMan, Oscar got savagely beaten on until Nacho stopped the fight. Hatton lasted alot longer against Mayweather than he did PacMan and with Mayweather he actually won a few rounds. Mayweather has done his best to avoid all the boxers that could actually beat him or at least give him a tough fight. He never got in there with Margarito and was calling out Shane before his dominant performance against Margarito. Even Cotto wants Mayweather right now and instead Floyd is getting in the ring against a much smaller man in Marquez.

Well, firstly; Floyd fought Oscar at his own weight. Floyd moved up and Oscar didn't have to drain himself to make weight. In the Pacquiao fight, Oscar had to starve and dehydrate himself to make weight (he still had IV marks on his arm on fight night) so it wasn't exactly the same.

As for Hatton, Floyd was the first man to really expose Hatton's weakness, He showed that a straight punch as Hatton rushes in is the way to go, Manny just followed the blueprint. It was very impressive, but take into account that Floyd never looks to KO an opponent, he looks to outbox them for 12 rounds and take his time, he will only go for a KO if it is right there. Pacquiao on the other hand goes looking for the KO early in every fight.

P.S. that smaller man Marquez got screwed against Pacquiao, he clearly won the first fight.

It was really over in the first. Once you're canned for an 8 count that early, it's only a matter of time. Hatton was not himself after that 1st round stun-gun. Then in the 2nd....boooya!
