Painful stat.

Our team had 9 Int's for 24 yards... Newman has 27 of those. And all of that came on one play.

So if you throw out that INT, we have 8 int's for -3 yards for the season.

All of Jenkins were jump balls, but you'd think we could have had at least ONE decent return. We average 2.4 yards per return.

Compared to Opponents who average 11 per return against us.

We don't get many ints on route interruptions...just those deep balls where our CB has to jump up and get it making himself easy to tackle. I just wish we got some of those plays other teams get, even the cruddy ones. Pick 6 shouldn't be THAT rare...heck even a pick 40yd return would be nice.

Like an errant throw by a QB that got hit, leading to a nice return by a LB. Something like that would be great.

only 9 ints in 13 games is far more painful then the pitiful return yards :bang2:

I agree, but if we aren't going to get a ton, then at least get a decent return every once in a while. Or a nice fumble recovery and return.

Well Newman did have a pick 6 that sealed a win over the Panthers this year but yeah, we need a few more...

who cares about the return yds, the bigger issue is we dont get enough of them...turnover are good no matetr how many yds you get in returns on them

The Mike Jenkins INT is good enough for 20 return yards since it was a touchback. It's also good for 7 points we didn't allow because it occurred in the end zone.

But that's just me looking at a big picture.

Man I don't are about the yards. The more painful stat is the amount of INT's. Receiving yards? Just give me the possession.
