Will we take advantage? Historically, we haven't.

Fast forward about a month and the Panthers find themselves looking for answers at nearly every offensive line position. Starting right tackle Daryl Williams was the first to go down, tearing his MCL during training camp – enter second year tackle Taylor Moton, a promising young candidate now forced into action....

Following, Amini Silatolu, who had earned the starting guard position in Norwell’s absence, tore his meniscus and will be sidelined for six weeks or more – enter two candidates for replacement, journeyman Greg Van Roten and rookie Brendan Mahon....

Luck hasn’t been on the side of Carolina this preseason as Silatolu is out and now starting left tackle Matt Kalil is week to week after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his knee this past Monday – enter Moton (again) and let the shuffling begin...

I wonder if Rivera will sit Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey for the rest of the preseason. I mean, surely they can't play exhibition games with this slate of injuries ahead of them.

Hopefully they do not try and talk D-Ware out of retirement, he always make back-ups look like all pros...

I see why dogunwo posted it in the Fan thread.
I even think it belongs there, because that is the Dallas Cowboys' opening game opponent.
Just curious and an honest question.....Did it bother you that much?

IMO the fan zone is for Cowboys fans not news about other teams regardless of the circumstance.

FYI, I don't like this thread

being there either.

If we are not gonna play by the rules, why have rules?

Maybe I jinxed it by even bringing it up. Every time we discuss an upcoming opponent's lack of O-line talent, we have a disappointing showing from our front 7. Cam likes to hang in the pocket these days and takes brutal shots, maybe we can actually do something about it considering our d-line has looked above competent this pre-season so far.

You are exactly right on why I posted it in the Fan Zone. I even thought about it before I did. This wasn't some random news about any team. Its news about our first real opponent. Had we been playing the Panthers in week 2 or beyond, I wouldn't have even posted the news at all.

Even if he doesn't If J Smith is even close to his ND days Newton should be scared running out of the pocket.

I'm liking our Cowboys odds of pulling out that tough opening game at Carolina!
Have to do it on the field though.
:flagwave:

wow that ia pretty bad, that could mean they are cellar dwellars of the NFL.

I would say the odds are about even right now, maybe even now slightly in our favor.
