Just keep hoping something bad happens to a member of our team guys .....

Instead of hoping our pro-bowl wideouts hammy gets better in time for Regular season.

This thread sounds like something someone on ES would create.

"Gibbs is just trying to create a false sense of security in the opposition. It's all part of his master genius plan."

I was thinking the same thing.

Would anyone put it past JJ and Parcells to be playing a game here. Small fine, TO sitting out with injury, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out this has all been orchestrated by Parcells to lull the competition into false hope and to let the media make ***** of themselves (as they always done so well)!! I heard next that TO is going to be implicated in the Jon Bonet Ramsey murder.

i think it's a real possibility.

i really do.

Its like a Soap Opera ...... and the anti-T.O. faction are the housewives.

Housewives? Because some refuse to make excuses for TO? All anyone had to do is see his behavior to know what we were getting when we signed this idiot. This is the same additude that has gotten him ran off from 2 other teams despite his talent

Thats right ..... you keep up the good fight of annoying the posters on the Cowboys forum with your I HATE T.O. mantra .....

Am I annoying you?
I'm sorry if you feel that way. That's not my intent.

Secondly, I think you may need to make a distinction between "hating" the individual and "hating" the individual's ways.

I will always love my son, for example, because he is a member of my family. But I may hate his ways if he does something displeasing.

I don't hate TO. Don't know much about him as a human being to feel that way about him.

I do hate his ways. How do I "hate" thee? Let me count the ways:

1. Publicly criticizing not one but two quarterbacks.
2. Publicly criticizing his coaches.
3. Insinuating that his QB in San Francisco is gay. (I don't care whether he is or isn't, you have NO BUSINESS putting that out there).
4. Immature statements made because of his lack of respect for authority. (My name is not TO Reid. He aint my daddy.)
5. Excessive showboating (do I even have to mention the Star dance?)
6. Pouting because he doesn't get the ball.
7. Imagining slights and making them bigger than they should be. (What was Donovan McNabb suppose to say when asked for the hundredth time whether the Eagles could advance to the Super Bowl without TO? No, we have no chance without TO. Better pack up our bags and start over next season.)
8. Missing his own chance at free agency. Incompetent agent? Sure. But it's interesting that it happens to TO and, from my recollection, no one else.
9. Publicly courting Baltimore and then when Baltimore signs him complaining that that's not where he wants to go.
10. Strong-arming the NFL to allow him to go to Philly.
11. Talking so glowingly about Donovan McNabb only to stab him in the back later.
12. Disrespecting Ray Lewis in his own home stadium. (It's not enough he scores a touchdown. He has to rub it in the man's face. Yep, that's sportsmanship for ya.)
13. Being oblivious to the media circus you're creating by your immature and petulent ways which culminates with situps in your front law.
14. Promising that he's going to be a model citizen (which means conducting yourself in a way that doesn't lead to intense public scrutiny) and then breaking that promise. Not attending meetings and rehabilitation sessions constitute that.
15. Bemoaning how your childhood produced the person you are today as an excuse. There are many people with broken backgrounds who don't act as immature as TO does.

And I could go on and on but I'll stop right here. And if you're going to bring up the "But he hasn't killed anybody" argument, please don't.

We're not talking about murder vs. immaturity. We're talking about sportsmanship, respect and maturity vs. a lack of sportsmanship and respect and immaturity.

So in conclusion, it's quite possible to hate a person's ways without hating a person.

Something we ALL do.

Its good for the team.

If by "team" you mean the Cowboys, I would respond by saying I didn't know the Cowboys as a team paid attention to this forum. If they do and if this annoys them, they're certainly not prepared to face the regular season if criticism of TO on an Internet forum "annoys" them.

If by "team" you mean our happy family here, I would respond by saying I thought this was a discussion thread. The nature of discussion is to dialogue on topics we have agreement and disagreement on.
If you can't handle disagreement or feel "annoyed" by criticism of TO, you don't belong here.

Besides, all families have disagreements yet our loyalty to the family remains. That's the essence of family. :)

Bill Parcells is worried just like he would be for any other player.
T.O. missed a meeting and a Rehab session ....(prolly because he was having his team of personal trainers work on it) ...... and was fined for it.

Exactly. And notice how Heinz Ward has been out even longer than TO with a hammy and has admitted he won't touch the field until the real season. Funny, that hasn't made any headlines.
