In Texas stadium, it's unlikely to fire up the Lions. Much easier to get inspired with the crowd behind you.

Okay, even though the Linc isn't the rat-infested Vet, that was pretty funny, Nors. :laugh2:

I think this will be another close game...for a half. Boys pull away with 2nd half big plays, 31-17.

I don't think Detroit is in a position to really take any disrespect to this. Parcells is trying to motivate his guys. That's all. Detroit, and the entire NFC North sucks, so how would Detroit differ on this. Read the new ESPN the mag, you'll see they don't even disagree with it

I think the mouse traps are the least of their concerns. Detroit has enough to worry about in regards to their QB position.

Detroit has been our nemisis past few years.

Dang it - even in 1991 they ruined our season.

Their QB situation is bad, but their corners are decimated. For that matter, so is the majority of their defense. You don't lose players like Shaun Rogers, Dre Bly and Earl Holmes and pretend like it never happened.

Denver is the best team left on our sched. I liek that they have to fly on a very short week and do something there not used to. If we can steal this one things will be looking way up.
Although, they do kind of have a bye week this week (Jets)

C'mon Brooks Bollinger, at least make them play there starters 60 minutes

Didn't he say the mousetrap thing had more to do with the staff, not the players?

I thought he was making a statement about having some "mice" in the building meaning that certain members on his staff were appearing timid or too quiet.

Maybe he WAS just talking about this being a "trap game".

i dont think BP intended it to be a gimick or a gag, he even stated this in his press conference today, he is geniunely concerned that we dont fall in a trap vs Detroit cause this team might be looking ahead to Denver.

I think it was more of "Don't look past the Lions because you could fall into a trap." kind of thing. I don't see it as a diss to the Lions at all, but more of a wake-up call to the staff and players to focus on the game in front of you, not the one next week.
