Zoners,

It has been 3 full years now with BP in the front office, picking the groceries etc. What do we have to show for it?

BP done a great job in year one with little talent and we made the playoffs as a wild card.

I give Coach Parcells until this time next year and if I am not watching my Cowboys on TV in the playoffs......then Mr. Jones......I want the man FIRED!

Coach Parcells serve notice.......YOU ARE ON THE CLOCK!

:war: :whip: :chainsaw: :fight:  :chop:

Hey Zoners,

I feel much better now!

Wow.......

Seriously, it is KILLING me knowing the STEELERS may go to the Super Bowl!
I cannot stand to watch them and the deadskins (at least they are done)

I have to concur. BP is paid a king's ransom and he has the same number of playoff wins as Campo and one less playoff win than Gailey.

Time to produce. No more excuses.

It's been 15 years since BP's last Super Bowl win also ... if he can't get it done next year, let's move on.

Ain't that the dang truth! I am starting to believe some of the sentiment out in the NFL press that BP was surrounded by great people and BP just overseen the football operations and took credit for everything!

Heck, it is time to pinch or get off the pot!

Your right!!! Yet I'm still 100% behind Parcells and still think he will get this team back to the top.

sorry...couldn't resist :p:;)

Remember the Cowboys didn't clean house when BP got here in 03. Squincy at QB (quarter bag) and Hamburgler at RB were the dominant forces on offense.

BP finally got his wish for HIS style of defense in his third year. Looks good so far.

So for 2006-07 let's repair the OL and get another MLB and OLB... Once this has all happened, accountability will be acknowledged in full force.

The baleful effects of remote control and cable television on the human mind. Tom Landry wouldn't have lasted a season with this crowd.

The talent is so much better now than when he got here -- bottom line. That's what Parcells has done. The days of getting our arses kicked is over.

Chan was able to eck out two playoffs teams on the fumes of the 90s powerhouse. And remember, one of those teams lucked in at 8-8.

Campo wasn't a very good HC, but he had zero talent also.

Parcells gets no free ride for taking 3 years to make adjustments to schemes. If he wanted to play the 3-4 defense, he should have just done so from the beginning - it may have meant more losses the first year but we would have ended up where he wanted to be sooner. He finally switched this year even though his best players were still better suited to the 4-3 (Glover, Ellis and Coakley) so I'm not sure why he waited so long. All the other players he ran off were riff-raff.

The problem with BP's program here is that he took over a team that needed to be rebuilt but came here with the attitude that the team only needed to be patched up - that was his mistake. It is also why we are not further along then we should be in the rebuilding process.

I think we should have a legit shot at the playoffs next year but I am not hopeful of a SB appearance anytime soon. He has not found enough impact players. I think the team only has one true impact player and that is TNew. I do have some hopes for Ware and Julius reaching the upper echelon but both have a lot of work to do to get there. RoyW is spectacular but just too limited in his coverage abilities to be considered among the elite safeties. Witten is a nice player but a poor blocker and lacks the athleticism of the elite TEs.

i agree fully. next year will be truly his team, talent, scheme, etc.

i dont think it is fair to judge the job he has done b/c this year he finally got his personnel to run his defense...next year is where he can be held accountable...if we havent done anything year after that or even next year maybe then adios muchacho

Huh? How do you figure that, since you are into facts..Fact..Parcells overruled the scouts to pick Jacob Rogers, that sounds to me like he was picking the groceries

we can't keep changing our coaches like under wear, let em develop what they have.

I'm not thrilled with what Parcells has accomplished here. At the same time, we need some sense of consistency. Hiring new coaches every 3 years is not the answer. And realistically, we are not going to hire someone better than Parcells at this point. I say we give Parcells 2 more seasons at the very least.

But it will be again...Who do we get that's better...I Trust in Bill...He knows more than anyone else, especially CowboysZoners...Oh so you want Campo back?

No more excuses after next year. None.
