Question from reporter: Does TO catching 3 TDs this week lower the tension level on the team?

Parcells answer: I don't know, you people are the perpetrators of the tension level so you should be able to answer that.

Score one for Bill and how true.

i wonder how come nobody in the media has the balls to ask parcells how come in 4 yrs he hasnt had any progress on the OL, or attempted to make progress

You don't think this year's version is better than last? Is Columbo better than Petitti? Is Gurode an upgrade over Johnson? Is Rivera playing better than last season? Is a semi-healthy Flozell better than one on the IR? Does Kosier bring things to the plate, such as pulling, that Larry Allen hasn't done for years?

Your question re why no progress on the OL after 4 years here is valid ^ why media doesn't pursue this problem is good question but their too focused on TO to really discuss Cowboy problems.

But your question re why Paracells hasn't even attempted to improve the OL isn't valid. He has attempted to improve that area but with minimal success--although Colombo is certainly best RT we've brought in & we got lucky there. And Gurode, drafted before Parcells came on board, has finally begun to show the promise he had before we drafted him. He brought in FA OL starting in his 2nd year & continuing into this year, but none have been successful until this year but still OL is problem area and surprising biggest problem right now is LT Adams. If Adams doesn't show improvement and some consistency as season moves along, you gotta think we probably won't bring him back in 07 which is last year of his contract. That only leaves Fabini (not my choice as future starting LT and young McQuistan who seems to have impressed Parcells and other NFL organizations.

Frankly the whole subject of the OL depresses me too much to talk about it. And the upcoming Monday game against the Giants is very big and our OL, RBs & TEs must do better job protecting Bledsoe, who also must do better job as our QB. Frankly, another game like this team played against Jax & Eagles will really depress me.

If a football game played by millionaires who couldn't care less about you, the average fan, depresses you then I suggest you find something else to do on your free time.

Actually it was more specific than that.

Ed Werder ask about the tension level and BP replied with "I dont know, you are the perpetrator... you would know better than me... you would be able to answer that"

I love his daily ripping of Werder and/or ESPN when Werder asks a question...

Because TO and the QBs don't play on the OL. Geez it isn't rocket science or brain surgery. It's outside the media scope.

Oh, and let's not forget that you haven't got that journalism degree yet and a job with an employer who thinks you should ask an NFL coach questions like that. It takes balls not to get that degree I suppose.

Draft picks and Free Agents have been brought in to address the needs and so far this year they've played better than in recent years. On top of this they appear to be gelling together a bit. By all means ignore this I suppose.

lol i agree..but i would like to see parcells response..i think this could be a topic that parcells would throw a tantrum at..but its a legit question..dallas media seem to want to bash any little thing with TO, but on a real concern they actually pay no mind..shows u how awful the media is in dallas.

BP will always handle a press conf.....he is the master at that....learned it from Bobby Knight (the very best)

Indeed! The NFL Network is "looming large" in ESPN's rear view mirror these days. Their coverage of all things TO to bring in the "casual viewer" is greedy at best and disgusting at worst.:espn:

Agreed... to a point.... its seems the Tony Romo pressure questions force him to "stumble, bumble, fumble".... he starts stuttering

Three new starters this year from last year is not an attempt to make progress?

The only two starters to return from last year are two former Pro-Bowlers coming back from injury problems last year. He has done something to try and improve; how effective it will ultimately be remains to be seen but he did try.

Caring about your team is part of being a fan.
