He built us up and left us to die by taking our coaches and certain personnel.
This led to the hiring of Wade and JG.

Thanks Bill.

Parcells is a jinx! He's really a NY Giants Fan, he hates the Cowboys! We may be in for a long couple of years until Wade is gone.

Parcells helped this team tremendously. It is a shame some Cowboys fans won't admit it.

Look at what he's doing in Miami. Can you even name one of their wide receivers? I'm waiting...

when parcells left he thought the team would hire one of the internal coaches, Norm speculated last offseason that he got word bill was shocked that Gary Gibbs or Tony sporano were not hired.

I guess he knows what he is doing afterall huh?

and isnt it funny how Bill decided his organization could not win with zach thomas and jason taylor. He got a 2 for taylor and both dallas and washington are out of the playoffs, while miami and that sporano guy have a home playoff game next week.

Wait till the dolphins win a playoff game.

Many have portrayed the past two offseasons as the sign that jerry knows what he is doing and does know football.

It turns out, these might be two of the worst offseasons jerry has had period. That 07 draft is falling apart and the staff he hired is not on the same planet as the one in miami, the one he could have had.

Throw in Pacman jones and his nonsense and hard knocks and jerry looks more foolish tonight than he ever has in my opinion. And he is such an egomaniac that he will just go forward with this current nonsense.

Suck on this thought for a while...

Today, Jerry -- on the heels of a colossally disastrous loss that caps not only a horrific season but comes 13 months after last season's epic failure -- clamors for continuity in the coaching ranks.

Yet when Parcells left, following what appeared to be a season that showcased a growing team ready to blossom, Jerry turned the team over to a bunch of guys (Phillips, Garrett, Stewart, Reed, etc) from outside the organization and, over a two-year stretch, let essentially every Parcells assistant leave the organization.

Yet now is when we need continuity?

Unbelievable. We screwed ourselves for underachieving. I credit Parcells for all that he did here.

The Fins could very well go to the Super Bowl. Titans? Can they honestly count on a washed up, 50 year old QB to make critical plays in the postseason? Pitt? OL is PUTRID...even THE BROWNS knocked Big Ben around a good one today.

Really-I'll be rooting for the Fins hard this postseason. Chad Pennington got a bum deal in NY...great to see him rejuvinating his career in Miami.

My point is Parcells is a mastermind and built this team but he took to damn much when he left! Taking sparano hurt. This team has no discipline.

Point well taken that JJ is not a good GM and his post hires are pathetic.

I was watching the Jets/Miami game today and they praised the Dolphins on fleecing us in that Fasano trade. Most of us were up in arms when it happened. The Ferguson trade too, but we all fell in love w/ Tank..... Look, I didn't know any of the guys on our coaching staff were HC material, but you would figure a guy that was around the team every day would. I am not ready to anoint Sparano though. They played a pretty easy schedule and they were not as bad a team as last years record. Bravo to Parcells for also sticking it to the Commanders on that Taylor trade.

amen to that, it has been my two year long complaint.

continuity was here, the coaches were here.

The general manager just wasnt and because of that the wrong decisions were made snd will continue to be.

To be fair-Ferguson was 34 and was recovering from a serious torn biceps injury. It looked like his career was over, and I really thought we got decent value in a trade with them.

As for Fasano-he sucked here. I have no idea how he's having a great year in Miami.

Jerry screwed us when he let Bill walk.Never believe for a minute
he was on board with TO.Parcells builds football teams into contenders
that's a fact.Yeah i hear the Bellicheck nonsense,well Every team turns
their fortunes around with Parcells at the helm. You can't even find another
man in this sport that has done what he has.Face it he took the 1-15
freaking Dolphins and all the coaches we had,and their in the playoffs.

Bad metaphor, but it feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy or something as you watch this thing unravel.

You knew Phillips wasn't a good hire, but accepted it because of what seemed like a limited pool and just hoped for the best. Now, you know keeping Phillips isn't the right move, but are forced to just take it up the *** with a smile.

All the while the team will continue to unravel and fall back to the depths at which Parcells found it.

In fairness to Tuna, he did leave us with a hell of a lot of talent when he did leave.

So I dont think it was a big conspiracy to make us suck for years and years.
