Parcells tidbit

I think the most amazing thing I've heard in a long, long time was the choked-up, unsteady voice of Bill Parcells over the phone from Dallas Saturday afternoon, after the election of one of his favorite players, Harry Carson, to the Hall of Fame. "I've been crying for five minutes,'' he told me. "God, am I happy. Harry is so deserving, and I couldn't be happier for anyone. It's unbelievable.''



Say what you want, Parcells bashers--but he loves his players, & he DOES still have the fire. He may not show it the way you (or the media) want, but he'll walk over hot coals on top of nails for those guys.

Unfortunately Harry has acted like a spoiled baby the last few years. I would be embarrassed to show up after acting the way he has. It's ok for others to argue on your behalf but the player needs to maintain some dignity. Even Irvin has maintained a stiff upper lip in public.
