Parker confirms a 3-4 base defense

A 3-4 defense with 4-3 spacing—often called a "3-4 Under" or "Hybrid Front"—uses three down linemen (1 NT, 2 DEs) and four linebackers, but shifts the front to mimic 4-3 spacing gaps. This places one outside linebacker (the "Rush" or Sam) on the line of scrimmage, often creating a 4-man line appearance to disrupt offensive blocking angles, particularly by overloading one side.
There may have been others
As to what. 3-4 base with 4-3 spacing was all about.

And now for the "Dude how long have you been watching football" crowd

I think it's smart and helps speed up to process. You bring back Clowney and you have some decent pieces before free agency and the draft.

You can run some sort of front with

Williams - Clark - Osa / Thomas up front. Ezeiruaku and Clowney can play OLB with Overshown inside. Sign a guy like Dean / Singleton and you have the makings of a decent front 7. It still needs some work here and there but will allow us to focus some on the secondary.

Sonny Styles would be a monster at 3-4 OLB opposite of EZE.

it smells like Keldric Faulk at 20 now
Posted the same thing.

Will be interesting though as Solomon Thomas is proven to be solid in a 3-4 front and Osa does not seem like a great 3-4 end to me. But I am no expert

I’d like to see how Parker plans on implementing that with our personnel. Sounds like a stretch to me.

You need oversized DE’s in the 3-4, we have none. I don’t think Osa or Clark fit that position particularly well.

You need oversized MLB’s (2 at least) in the 3-4, we have none.

May take 3 years before we have the proper personnel.

Seems worrisome when we only have 1 starting lber and he's been hurt bad twice and not himself. But des play back in the 4 sometimes right? But we also have 1 starting de lol im still excited for all these defensive coaching changes though for sure
