Parnell most Pressures allowed? Anyone know where Free ranks?

Free has allowed 22 pressures, which includes sacks and QB hits.

However, keep in mind the numbers Brandt is offering INCLUDES: sacks, QB hits & pressures.

So Parnell is at 40 and Free is at 22 for the season.

In Parnell's defense I think his run blocking has been better than Free's.

Also Free is more of a "penalty machine" than what Parnell is.

If you could combine Free's passblocking with Parnells' run-blocking and penalty discipline and you would have one VG RT.

I'd take Parnell over Free any day... but I don't think either are anything special. We'd still need to upgrade if we kept Parnell.

Pretty strong correlation, generally, between interceptions and QB pressures.

Pressures are like holds in baseball. They are too vague and mean very little.

You can debate Free VS. Parnell all day but the truth is they chose between two lackluster RT's

Im very leary about that right now with Romo coming back, his injury issues and his age. Free is at leasr decent in pass pro and he is seasoned. I dont want a kid on the job with Romo's career and our short term future on the line.

Id like to see them pull the plug on both Romo and Free if we get eliminated from the playoffs

Thanks, I was waiting for someone to post the real numbers. Parnell was overpaid, but so it Free at 6MM. The problem is that there aren't many quality RTs in football right now, which is why they were willing to spend a 3rd on Chaz Green and spend so much development time on Darrion Weems.
