Parris Campbell on expectations for him in Dallas - Coach wants to be physical, tough and fast

Um...what? "push"...for 4 spot?

You do know who we have behind Ceedee......right?

Right?
Lamb, rookie, Turpin, Mingo. Those are the locks. Any of the rest are fighting for a roster spot. Any of them can make it and any of them can be cut.

So you think Parris can't compete for 2 (unknown!), 3 and barely 4? Ridiculous.

Only one safe there AT ALL...is 1.

Sounds like a good guy off the field!

But lets face it...we know what he is on the field: he'll wow everyone in training camp...maybe even a preseason game or 2, enough to get the Zany Zoners growling, and then during the regular season he'll just be kind of a low end #3 wr (or an average #4 wr, if ur a half glass full kind of guy)
I'm curious about what happened to him after Indy. In Indy, he fought injuries his first three years, limiting his numbers, then his one healthy season, he put up solid second-receiver number (more than 60 catches and 600 yards). Then he went to the Giants, played in 12 games and didn't do much. Now, I can kind of understand why he didn't do much in Philly. The Eagles picked him up on the cheap and had their lineup set ahead of him. But the New York year is really the question for me as well as whether he can stay healthy.

So you keep trying to get on mod/admin GOOD side with ..this?

LOL...I kid. :laugh:We are cheering you on as undrafted free agent underdog!
Uhh Steve you're a saint!!!! Thanks for this ringing endorsement, the more love they see, the further my application gets bumped up!! Lol lol

Or we can just complain and make jokes about them instead of letting them turn things around
Well, that is what a lot of fans do. I understand some fans frustration and to vent.
I am excited for the changes and to see if anything improves on the field.
Will wait until after the draft to see if they improve on paper.

Mingos is not lock over Tolbert..

Tolbert; how is it you leave this guy off this list and his numbers last year were comparable to Samuels, ACooper, and Kupp and somehow it gets brushed aside and I do realize those were better players at their peak they may even be talent level still slightly better.. If you just look at last year and too many fans want to go make a trade and go get a player like this or pick one up off free agency and pay them a lot of money and the numbers are almost identical to Tolberts last year.. Have y'all bothered to even look at what they did last year regardless of what happens this year?

but Tolbert had a quiet but solid year last year and he can get better and somehow you don't even leave him on the list as a lock no he's a lock I'm pretty sure they like him enough and he's developing while it seems slow i think a new offense would be perfect for him...

This dude ran a 4.31 at the combine in 2019 with a 1.45 split. That is speed and quickness. Of course he has some miles on the tires so I don't expect that out of him now.

The Cowboys think they found the fountain of youth or a time machine.

2 years don't count because of injury. He was good enough for Howie to sign last year.
Hey people sometimes just want to knock anything Jerry does, even if it's the same as what other better teams have done other teams are loaded with this type of players, they're all camp bodies. they're all somebody trying to make a team or their depth and they get only called up once or twice a year or they end up on a practice squad or they just flat out get released.hapens at every position on every team preparing to increase their roster by 30 players for training camp hoping to find a few that are surprises and make the team...

So, Washington adds Samuels and Gallup those players what have they done the last three years but just what did they do last year Gallup didn't play he retired he looked like garbage Samuel had one of his worst years on a three-year decline and that's a great job by their front office bringing those names over there yes they're just names...

People also wanted Kupp,

I mean I get it he's a better player than some of the guys we have on our team as far as their careers and talent level was, I should say WERE,
because all these players even amari Cooper, Diggs.. All had some of their worst years and yet our fan base just wants the name but they're not looking at recent production like our own guy in Tolbert, that you're just somehow skipped over, had as good a season as any of those names up there, but he's younger and still learning and cheap.

No they don't it's called the camp body they're bringing in guys to see who can stick you know every team is ramping up over 30 players from what's going to be the actual rosters for the regular season they all have players exactly like this on their team last year it was silly but it's OK for Philly and Howie Roseman to bring this guy over but when Dallas does it they're delusional come on people I know you don't like Jerry but keep your common sense being hypocritical..

This is normal and they have five months to complete this roster they're gonna go into it with the 90 plus players in camp and there'll be a few surprises that stick there'll be some surprises that don't stick and then whatever holes they need to fill they can add bodies and make a trade all the way up to the line but for sure we haven't even got to the draft yet and the complaints are just out of control.

I'm wondering if the Cowboys are planning on using Campbell like they did Noah Brown all those years. A possession receiver that can help out on special teams.

On his interview posted on the official site he said his career hasn't gone as he hoped after being a second round pick, but he sounds like a real pro and a real team player. Humble guy that will put in all the work needed. Rooting for him.
I watched his interview on YouTube I was impressed with him, seems like a class act.I am rooting for him, hope he can make a difference in big D.

This is simply a dumb argument.

Cooper Kupp put up better numbers than Tolbert despite only playing in 12 games last year. Here is what all these guys did last sesason....

Kupp - 12 games, 67 catches, 710 yards
Tolbert - 17 games, 49 catches, 610 yards
Samuel - 15 games, 51 catches, 670 yards
Cooper - 14 games, 44 catches, 547 yards

To say these guys are comparable is a joke and a complete lack of understanding of how to evaluate numbers.

Per game

Kupp - 5.5 catches, 59 yards
Tolbert - 2.8 catches, 35 yards
Samuel - 3.4 catches, 45 yards
Cooper - 3.1 catches, 39 yards

Per route ran

Kupp - 5.3 routes per catch, 1.99 yards per route ran
Tolbert - 11.2 routes per catch, 1.10 Yards per route ran
Samuel - 8.2 routes per catch, 1.60 yards per route ran
Cooper - 8.5 routes per catch, 1.46 yards per route ran

Tolbert had worse years statistically than all three guys you mentioned, and all three are on the back end of their careers, struggling to stay healthy, and all their teams moved on from them this offseason. This is not a strong case that Tolbert should be a lock for a roster spot this season. Its likely that he will be simply because the Cowboys have done essentially nothing to upgrade the WR position this year. If they draft one high and end up bringing in a veteran WR who is capable of starting its a completely different story and Rambo is 100% correct that Tolbert could be on the outside looking in once camp starts or possibly trade bait in the draft.
